LOL

Would you care to point it out?

People develop preferences for a reason. If you are unable to convey how you arrive at your opinion/preference then it loses validity - especially in a discussion such as this. There are tangible and, to a degree, measurable criteria that need to be taken into account. I have provided numerous examples that lead me to arrive at my preference, yet no one who holds opposite opinions has done the same.

If you like fruit loops over cap'n crunch you have a reason for it. You prefer the texture, the fruit flavor rather than peanut butter, you like that they get soggy faster; you find them to be a better part of your complete breakfast, etc. If you just say "Nah man fruit loops is tha shit fuck da cap'n that shit ain't crunch", but never offer any reasoning for your position it's not valid.

Pointed out for ya

Yeah, and i already responded to that, to which you ignored.

Question: Why Do i like Fruit loops more than Cap'n Crunch?

Answer: Becuase Fruit Loops TASTES better to ME.

The preference here is TASTE. I PREFER the TASTE of Fruit Loops over Cap'n Crunch. There is NO other reason in this scenario other than a PREFERENCE of taste.

Now, can you corrolate WHY someone would PREFER X-Men over Iron Man? It suited their TASTE.

Again, for the 3rd time, why do YOU care why someone doesnt like what YOU do?

YOU liking it should be ALL that matters.

There is a difference between responding and falling back on the same copout of an answer you've been trying to peddle.

That shit still stands. Your attempt to fall back on "well it's just opinion" fails. My simple two paragraph reply mentions why it fails. I shouldn't be expected to re-word something every time you copout just for your satisfaction or because other people say you got owned and you feel you have to save face.

I obviously hold individuals that attempt to be taken seriously & their opinions to a higher level than you do. Paragraph two of my previous response illustrates my point.

Again, for the 3rd time, why do YOU care why someone doesnt like what YOU do?

YOU liking it should be ALL that matters.

Again it isn't about if I like something and someone else disagrees. It is about justifying your position and explaining why you hold such a belief.

I mean I could follow you around from forum to forum and call you names and point out how I think you’re a bitch. “Hey man that’s just my opinion; she’s a bitch.” It would be an opinion that wouldn’t be backed up in anyway and one that could be challenged.
If I were in a thread titled “Jesse Rice = Biggest Siccness Bitch EVER!” and I said “Yes, I think I fucked your mom is a bitch” and someone else disagreed it would be up to each of us to justify the position we have taken and explain you’re a bitch why or why not.

Some people who hold an interest in a given subject also hold an interest in why people hold the opinions on that subject that they do.

If I were interested in the Jesse Rice is a Bitch subject. I would want to know why other people think you're a bitch too. Or why some don't.

But even that isn't as important as people justifying the position that they hold. If an opinion is important enough to have it is important enough to explain and important enough to defend.

Finally, the point, I believe, of message boards is to have discussion. People holding varying opinions and points of view are essential to quality discussion. Your dismissal of everything as “it’s just opinion man move on” is a dismissal of the reasoning for being here. I on the other hand believe that if someone has an opinion and takes the time to share it then it is essential for quality discussion to take place that they explain their position, which includes the basis of their opinion forming. Dropping a one line reply into a discussion not only renders your opinion worthless it does harm to the discussion.

Challenging people to justify their opinions does not invalidate the opinion, it is the lack of a foundation for that opinion or the non-interest in sharing/defending that opinion its basis that invalidates it.

Wow bro. Again, youre completely missing the fuckin point.

It seems you just want to argue becuase someone didnt like what you did, so you feel the need for them to justify something to you, as if you are the all ending super-god of movies.

Homie, if that muthafucka didnt like the Iron Man movie more than the X-Men movie SOLELY because it entertained him more, how is that NOT explaining WHY? More action scenes? More people figthing? What else do you want to hear?

Youre right, discussing topics to the point of banter, is great. However, if someone says something, leaves the htread and doesnt come back...and you CONTINUTE to "provoke" them by using downplay tactics to make them feel inferior, what does that say about you? Do you really need to act like a used douche rag to FORCE someone into telling you EVERY TINY FUCKIN detail as to WHY they didnt like Iron Man more then X-Men?

Please, get over yourself. Just becuase you make a new screen name, doesnt mean are arent the same arrogrant, critical, asshole that has a "god" complex. Some people just ENJOY movies becuase...it entertained them. Wow, what a CONCEPT.

If that is all, can we move the FUCK on please?

The only way I could see someone enjoying the X Men movies more than Iron Man, would be if they were big marks for the comic growing up. I jocked the Hulk movie, and everyone hates that. Mainly because I've always enjoyed the comics growing up (he is my favorite hero because of his ability to rape anything), yeah the movie itself sucked, but I enjoyed just seeing Hulk on screen. Probably the same for those who liked the X Men movies over others.

im with you, hulk is one of my favorite characters, not due to him being able to rape anything lol, but the fact that aint nuthin fuckin wit him, he indestructable.. i know his last movie was hella boring when it came to the dialogue but the little times they had hulk on there, i loved it.. he was deflecting bullets, missiles, leaping for miles across mountains, treating heavy tanks like they aint shit.. basically everything ive wanted to see the hulk do.. so even though i know the movie wasnt one of the best, i enjoyed it just to finally see shit like that, since we couldnt get that kinda action in the days of lou ferrigno.. still i gotta see this iron man movie, i watch all them comic flicks when they hit theaters.. especially marvel and other graphic novel interpretations, im not really into dc comics characters tho, with the exception of batman and lobo...
