Just my thoughts, but I think many marginalized/minority people "harp" on ancestory/history more than white folk because our history in America and lands affected by European Americans, are filled with tragedy. We're still trying to get over this shit while it seems a good number of white Americans are enjoying most of the fruits of an America built on our suffering. Simple analogy, It's easy for me to tell a dude whose nose I broke and shit I took to get over it...Not so easy for him.

I was arrested in Mexico... for absolutely nothing... I'm pretty sure me being White had something to do with it... (the only White people in the area was me and some of the people I was with) I don't have any animosity towards Mexicans because of it

I'll take it. I was harrassed and the police stole my friends money in Mexico...I'm black. Other countries are racist, but usually if you check in their history they've been colonized. Other countries have/had old world problems like tension between tribes, and religion... Europe introduced the idea of race to them, doesn't make their actions right but why does it matter if they are racist? What matters is the country that I live in has problems.

I would mostly agree with you on a philosophical level but thats irrelevant because we dont live in the world you want, at all. So let your mindset be your religion, thats fine, but we live in a world of nations, borders, laws, etc etc and I agree there has been a huge cost on the earth, but to sit where ever your sitting in America, just take a second look out your window and appreciate how bad ass this country is, unless you live in Fresno or somethin, anyway I think its important to recognize the positive things in the country, because its run by a political class that makes up 1% of the country's population, theres alot of good people out there, unless your black, in which case those good people are gonna treat you like shit, but thats a different conversation

at the same time, you can't deny it has gotten better in this country, in the 1800s we had slavery, that was abolished, but other races still didn't have the same rights as white people, and there was extreme segregation in this country... segregation has died down (it still exists to a certain extent in parts of the country) and laws today provide every race with equal rights... we even have a Black president... that would be completely unimaginable in the past

My thing is when prostitution becomes an issue in a certain area they set up stings to punish the johns. Why not do the same for immigration. Why not park or have a decoy out in front of home depot n fine the people who hire "illegal" immagrants for cheap labor. Isn't it illegal to pay someone for work "under the table"? I think it's a federal offense. I'll tell you why. Cuz when gov. Wilson came out with all these strong immagration laws he had an illegal maid that worked for him. Its a fact. Look it up.
