lol berto fights nothing like marquez, nothing at all. terrible comparison. Someone like Bradley would fit that mold a little better, imo plus he's quicker than marquez.

w/o the plaster tony looked just as hard of a puncher as he always does, i'm sure it's the same guy that knocked out cintron, cotto, etc.

Alex Ariza, the famed strength and conditioning coach of Manny Pacquiao, says he would like to see Manny fight Juan Manuel Marquez a third time, and forget about Shane Mosley. Ariza also called Mosley a "quitter" when talking to the Philippine Star (link via BoxingScene.com):

"Mosley? He’ll be tired after 15 minutes so what’s the point of that fight? Manny knocks him out and probably, Manny won’t even train for that fight. That guy is a quitter. He quit against Mayweather in three rounds. ... [I like Marquez] because he’s got balls. He’s got heart. And he’s stupid enough to think he can beat Manny. So that’s a great fight."

I wouldn't call shane a quitter he's just old and doesn't have the stamina anymore. But agree that's a pointless fight shane would get hurt.

Marquez is a good opponent but only at 140. I would oppose it being at 147, that's just too heavy for marquez.

I don't think he's a quitter either, but agree that mentally he doesn't have an edge. He really got psyched out in the fight with Mayweather. Also I think it's fair to demand a fight at 147, if Marquez wants it.

And SMH @ bigface's claims of every fighter under the sun being "shot". How is Antonio Margarito shot exactly? He was in better shape for his fight with Pacquiao than he's ever been.


Tired of people using "shot" as an excuse when a fighter loses. Roy Jones Jr is SHOT.


Margarito would have beat the shit out of almost any other welter/jr middleweight last Saturday.

Morebass, I just don't understand the logic you are applying. If Mosley is so-called washed up but yet he KO'ed Maragarito in 10 rounds with no problem. Why should I be hyped for a prime Manny beating him up for a 12rd UD? Another question for MoreBass. Are you saying that the 179 power shot that Cotto landed, and the 178 power shots that Mosley landed in back to back fights had not effect on Maragarito?

-mosley fought margarito two years ago.
-margarito weighed 160 pounds, mosley weighed 160 pounds (pac 148)
-just because someone gets stopped doesn't make them shot (or I guess using your logic, Marvin Hagler stopped a "shot" Tommy Hearns, Ali beat a "shot" joe fraizer etc etc etc).

If margarito was so shot he would have got KO'd in the ring by pac, but he didn't. It was the same guy in the ring. But whatever, all you and tony do it seems it downplay pac's victories, it's cool whatever makes you feel better.

The margarito that beat cotto would still lose to pacquiao in the exact same fashion - the speed and footwork of manny just too much for him.

pac is a totally different animal though. there is definitely something about pac that floyd doesn't like, i think that is clear. I mean to invent drug tests rules for someone that right there should have told you that right off the bat but then for him to go on vacation once pac agrees should be all the proof you need

It's not like boxers have cheated before... no boxer has ever been caught with roids or ped's in their system. Floyd has already said that all Manny has to do is agree to the tests and we'll have a fight.

No, I'm saying based on how mosley looked against Sergio freakin Mora, and Mayweather, he definitely looks his age. I'm not taking the win away from floyd because it was a good win, as mosley was a champ and obviously it's a solid victory. I'm saying as of today though, mosley is looking old.

Mosley isn't shot either, I think he's getting there but he's not shot. Mosley as of right now still gives most guys a good fight and still beats most guys. On an elite level I think he's done. That doesn't mean he's shot it just means he's old he's not as good as he was before. Like hopkins, he's old as fuck but he's not quite shot. Roy Jones is shot.

I think the biggest problem you have is you don't understand the term shot. You call everyone shot if they lose. Shot means you're reflexes aren't there, you got no punch resistance, etc etc etc. Again, perfect example is roy jones. If someone is on the decline or on the downside of the career, but can still fight on an elite level or beat most guys, they are not shot. Margarito, mosley, they are not shot fighters. Mosley doesn't have much time left though, age is starting to kick his ass.

No, I know what a shot fighter is. It's you dumb ass Pac-Man fans that don't understand. How many time do I have to explain it to you dumb fucks. Cotto got hit with 237 power shots from Margarito, his eye, nose, and lip cut and bleeding. In his very next fight he was hit with 222 power shots by Cottley and again his eye, nose, and lip cut and bleeding everywhere. Cotto was damaged goods going into the Manny fight. Now agan tell me that Cotto wasn't damaged and war tore. Why don't you post the picture of Cotto face in those two fights, I bet his face looks like it did after the Pac-Man fight.
