It was a poor attempt at sarcasm, because it is mostly true (The bit about prosperity, anyway, and peaceful compared to what Europeans were doing)

Around the times of the Middle Ages, Islamic culture(s) in the Middle-East were highly advanced in every aspect, compared to Europe, for instance. The spreading of systematic agriculture had a huge influence on the emergence of developed civilizations in the Middle-East. It was not until new inventions gave impetus to the "Age of Discovery", resulting in colonization and conquering of new lands, that Europeans (or "whitey") achieved global dominance (on the expense of others). What ensued was exploitation and impoverishment.

^u gotta be kidding me, i hope this is sarcasm. if it isnt, this is the dumbest statement i have seen on the board. there has been very little peace in the middle east before the colonialists came. middle easterners were killing 1 another over water holes since the dawn of their civilization. this culture activly represses 50 percent of thier population, and is the the great prosperous peacful land that brought us stoning, chopping off of hands, caning this can go on and on. the population is extremely polarized and caugh up in tribal fueds that go back centuries.
You're an idiot and I hope you die from your ignorant and racist views.

Islamic society "before whitey" was bar none the most advanced civilization in the world, giving us advances in medicine, math, science, textiles and the trades, etc. It was not until after the crusades that the exports of the Islamic world began to reach Europe, and we benefitted from their superior technology and knowledge base.

IT'S BIGGER THAN JUST YOU AND ME GUY. IF YOU'RE JUST LOOKIN' AT IT FROM A PERSONAL PERSPECTIVE THEN YOU COULD SAY THEY POSE NO THREAT. BUT A TERRORIST IS A THREAT TO ANYONE IN THIS WORLD. I'M TALKIN' ABOUT OSAMA WHEN I MAKE THIS STATEMENT, NOT NECESSARILY HUSSEIN BECAUSE HE'S A DICTATOR. NOT A TERRORIST.
Of coarse I'm looking at it from a personal perspective, but it's not just my perspective.
I know every inner city minority cat feels the same way.

Yes that view is limited to "us".
What about everyone else you ask?
You have to look at the source of the problem. We can get rid of as many terrorists as we want, but is this a permanent solution?

You see how my "personal" perspective is as limited as yours????

LOL @ MIGGIDY LET GO OF HIS COAT-TAIL PLAYA. YOUR ACTING OUT OF CHARACTER FOR ATTENTION AND IT LOOKS TERRIBLE.
Well since you threw my name in the mix, I shall target you with this post.

Why do you people look at politics as if it were some type of sport?
Why do you rally behind your politicians as if they were your favorite team?
I understand loyalty in the sports world, but in the world of politics?
Come on now....
Why is this a bad thing? It's good to deffend your favorite team when a rival fan exposes or picks on its flaws, but why do you deffend your politicians the same way?
Can't you see that by doing this, you are in danger of overlooking certain legit flaws in politics????

I am not singling you out on this, the majority of Americans suffer severly from this short sighted syndrome. You are either left or right wing, Democrat or Republican, liberal or conservative....
You must realize that when you confine yourself to one of these groups, it is the same as to lock yourself in a room. Locking your thoughts instead of expanding them. You see, by siding with one of these groups you are limiting your thoughts because you look at issues from the "sides" point of view.

I swear, fucking politics are no different than gang banging.
Why must a muthafucka become a Blood just because he had a run in with some Crips????
Why must a muthafucka join the president's cheer leading squad just because they have a common enemy?

Have you stopped to think that it is our uncontrolled government that might be the source of the problem?
You "yankie" muthafuckas need to stop riding on your givernments nutts for once and view reality for what it is. REALITY....

How long before our uncontrolled government barks up the wrong tree and ignites another fight with a new enemy?
When will you people realize that change starts with us????

EVEN THOUGH HE'S NEVER DONE ANYTHING TO ME PERSONALLY I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH HIM CAUSE THAT'S COULD'VE BEEN ME OR MY LOVED ONES IN THE TWIN TOWERS. George Bush is decreasing terrorism worldwide. We all know the people in the Middle East region are pussies. We beat their asses in the Crusades, a couple million jews beat the asses of 7 middle Eastern nations in a week, it's nothin. Arabs look at Iraq and get afraid. They do not get angry or plot against the U.S Government.

They go back inside their little curry-smelling huts and raise more camels, hoping one day to move to the US and buy out a Quik-E Mart. Trust me Bush is showing those Iraqi children how an M-16 round can split a head, how a collapsing roof and an exploding missile can fuck off you're day, and they're getting the message. I think we need to quadruple our Iraqi forces, and quadruple the amount of action. Even if they're not sure about the target they should shoot anyway...to make sure they get the idea.

Doesn't Bush have tthe power to launch a nuclear strike on the entire world, just from his finger tips?

Isn't he who indirectly killed his own troops by sending them to Iraq? Didn't he also make the decision to go after Saddam knowing damn well women and chlidren were going to die in the process?

Damn some of you people are so blind....
You can make excuses for what "dubya" did,
but a fact is a fact.
And to an unbiased mind, Bush is just as dangerous as Osama, if not even more.
Stop jumpin on either sides of the battlefield and look at reality for what it is....

There is not a single politician in office that I am the least bit fond of. As far as I am concerned they all the same. I would not rally behind any of them.

Reality? Your entire post is based on fictional pretense. Can you tell me what "party" you're associating me with, because up until this post, I didn't know I was affiliated with group.

How long before our uncontrolled government barks up the wrong tree and ignites another fight with a new enemy?
Cuba or North Korea will probably be the first countries to strike at us.

When will you people realize that change starts with us????
LOL who the fuck is "you people" and what group or party are they affiliated with?

Hold on, let me laugh a second, that was terribly funny. Okay done. When did you decide to gurgle HERESY's nuts in your mouth, after you parted the board, or when he made his last post? Hint: Don't laugh at your own jokes.

Ohhh, I get it. You see I was wondering, "what is a right winger", and you have just answered it for me. It is anyone who defends the U.S. Government. Wow how things have changed. I could have sworn it meant something else. On a more serious note... nah fuckit, your just a little kid. Yes I am a flag wavin right winger! (knowing your childish debating tactics, you quote that line and say "no shit"). Your like a window.

miggidy said:

I thought this discussion had some direction, but it seems you have went back to the old little kiddie debating style where you result to petty comments and false accusations instead of dealing with the issue at hand. I feel sorry for you miggidy, because I believed in some of what you used to say, now I know it is all copied and made up shit.

How hard they can hit is irrelevant.

al-Qaeda is just a "gang" so to speak, and look what they accomplished.
And lets not get into weapon capabilities.

I'm not saying Cuba is going to take over, I'm just pointing out that a country can be bullied only so much.

What did you just say? Say it again! Let me quote your exact words again,
"I'll always be wavin my flag"
lmao!
That is exactly what I was talking about,
you're always going to support your favorite team no matter how corrupt it becomes.

Who's ignorant now?

Woaw, shallow minded people "always" pull their own card.
This is so funny but yet so sad,
I'll try not to laugh this time out of respect for humanity.

Nitro the Guru said:

I understand that Heresy is your Nemesis.
However that doesn't mean that anyone who agrees with anything he says,
should be takin as one puttin his nutts in their mouth.

It might appear that way to you, but you speak from the perspective of a person who's shadow's stepped upon by his nemesis.

Damn this is getting worse.
Is anything getting through to you????
What is the difference between a left winger and a right winger?

Both will deffend their governments,
is there a real difference there?
I am not jumpin on you for deffending your country "son", (that's right I just Fathered you) I am gettin on your case for deffending a corrupted government.
Get that through your head, if there's anything in it at all.
Read my previous post "directed" at you and the rest of the Bush bandwagon,
read it and soak it. Let it marinate for a day at least and then get back to me because you haven't grasped any of it.

Nitro the Guru said:
No shit... so you agree that what you said makes absolutely no sense. Okay, now we're getting somewhere. And remember, knowing you are ignorant is only half the battle, good work mig.
Exactly,
you just admitted what I stated above.
Notice how everyone who I addressed in my first post directed at you and them,
aren't saying anything?
That is because they understood what I said,
except you. You are making an ass out of yourself man so THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK.

Nitro the Guru said:
I am certain you flunked the class where they taught the definition of that word. So I will excuse your ignorance here, but only here. But I will suggest you do a little reading in your dictionary.
It appears you never even attended the class,
or any for that matter.

Man, seeing how you cannot even grasp what I said in my first post;
it explains why you cannot even see your own contradiction.
Here's what you said,

"I know that our own government is a huge part of the problem."

Ok that came out of your mouth, or fingers if you wanna take it literal.
Anyways, you jump on someone for sugar coating Osama and or Hussein,
and you end up deffending an equal mad man in the process.
You do this, and now you say what I quoted above....

Now you might be fixated on deffending yourself, its ok cuz it's the human thing to do. You won't admit that is contradictory, cool.
But it is oxymoronic to say the least....

Miss me with the whining man, you took this there remember?
Me, I'm doing my best. Sorry if I cannot hold my laughter, but do know that I'm trying my hardest not to laugh.

False accusations?
They only seem that way to you because you do not even recognize the words that leave your lips.
And I doubt you ever believed anything I said in the past, judging how you haven't been able to understand my previous posts in this thread.
They were nothing complicated, I even tried to put it laymans terms for some people but I guess even that wasn't enough.
Oh well....
