once marriage is redifined to mean something other than "between a man and a woman" there will be no end to the sick shit and the institution of marriage will be totally decimated. as it is it is already standing on 1 leg.

as you said what to stop a person from marrying their goat?? or whats to stop 10 people from getting married together???

what if some1 wants to marry her horse and her orange tree???

A MAN AND A WOMAN THATS IT!!!
You bring up some good points.

Everyone that posted has very good points and thoughts.

Four other females and i are doing a court room debate or whatever about this topic..

Why should it be Legal and all the other things that go with it...

I don't see why we shouldn't allow to people of the same sex to be married as long as they are happy.

if they want to adopt a child/ren i don't see anything wrong with it.

Last year when i went down to the Gay Parade in SF there were many young children out there cuz they have gay parents or a relitive that is and i see nothing wrong with it...doesn't mean one day they are or have to turn to the same sex.

I just think that it's wrong that gay people get treated badly by some people because they dislike gay people or other things...

You should take those children to the windmills in SF...Golden Gate park on the weekends near the beach. You might have a different idea about the meaning of open homosexuality.

Give gays marriage rights, I wouldn't really care.
They are already living together, might as well let them get their benefits....
But....
As for them adopting kids?
Hell no....
It isn't fair for a child to be raised in such environment.
Gays wanna be gays, ok but don't drag children into it....

i dont care if they get married - i dont know any gay people and im not tryin to so to me its all their business

i think they should study gay parents and the kids theyve adopted and make a tv show about it to show what its really like so people arent in the dark...i just cant imagine bein raised by gays...if its this big of an issue 60 mins shud do a report or somethin

lol im for equal rights for all people but...

if you cant make kids naturally (like a man and woman can), perhaps thats a sign that it wasnt intended for 2 people of the same gender to have kids period...

you need both genders to raise a kid properly and a butch haircut dyke just aint a good enough father figure, nor is some dude in high heels and a skirt a mother figure

if you need both genders to raise a kid properly, then by that logic single people should not be allowed to have/raise kids either. people should not be allowed to get divorces, and if women get knocked up out of wedlock, their kids should be automatically aborted.

Yeah like that logic is infallible.
Instead of abortions they could be put up for adoption.

Two gay parents who want to love and care for their child are better than zero parents or one bad parent.
I agree....i rather see a child grow up with two parents of the same sex than none.....

Marriage as a whole doesnt mean much now a days, people get married and the words "Till Death Do Us Part" seem to mean something for a very limited time.
