horrorcore is tight.. i do horrorcore shit myself... i guess the reason why people do the shit is cos the been to the pits of life... the darkside i guess... and when you live that shit long enough you dont give a fuck about god cos you naturally think what the fuck has he done... when you spend years at the bottom with out light you have more in common with evil than good so you tend to sway towards the devil more.. hahaha... horrorcore rappers these days aint to appealing with flow but the lyrics are there... and when horrorcore rappers rap about gruesome shit its usually something they would do if push to far / did do or like comparing shit ... when its about self mutilation... alot of them just have had thoughts... no actual actions towards death... no rope burns on there neck or slits all over themselves... horrorcore is good cos everyone wants to be gangsta rappers... but i bet when the neighbour snipers on the loose these gangstas is watching there survalence cameras shaking like a fat bitch in her pink slippers... horrorcore cant be utilized like gangsta rap... rip trax life trax etc etc... but no mafucca has developed a formula to make it appealing mainstream wise in the rap scene... yeah anyways thats my 5 cents ..1
negative, i know many people not just me who's been through ish and still don't listen to horror core, and just cuz ive been through ish don't mean its time to disrespect god, shit happens live life and move on don't dwell on that shit
you may listen to horror core cuz you pissed at god and life but ill stick to listening to pac cuz even though he had it rough he still kept his head up and wanted good...and agin not everyone is tryin to be gangsta theres alot of positive rap out there too
and fuck ya if a neighbor hood sniper loose im gonna be watching my surveillance camera if i had one, who the hell wanna get shot?

All i'd like to say is, horrorcore was made for those with open minded opinions... Not for those thinking everything in life is so literal... & those who like the music and take it too literal are the ones out of their minds... If you can't see that their trying to make A statement about serious situations then turn on your radio and listen to the shit they play over and over again....

"Why should I say stuff your used to, when I can say some shit that will burn A hole right through you..." M-o-n-o I can't even spell the rest.... (heh)
And negative again, i have a real open mind, no im not just saying this because you said that...
i don't take horror core artist serious thats what this whole debate is about
That they aren't serious, don't think just cause someone listens to horror core there more open minded then the next guy.. cuz thats not true
i could say the same about you, ''aww you don't listen to soujla boy so you aint open minded to diff music'' ( i don't listen to him just using him as an example)
but you get my point

you cant say if people listen to a certain genre then there more open minded then the next guy

your spiritual response to things is up to the individual
to say that going through shit will make you act a specific way is too restricting
i dont doubt for a minute that youve been through shit
the fact that you keep an idea of who or what god is and choose to not dabble in that which might defile him is understandable

im sure you are open minded
that being said, horrorcore is not meant to be taken serious in the sense that everything said is truthful to its literal sense
just as solja boy's music serves its purpose, so does horrorcore

my intention for this thread wasn't to "convert" you
i wanted people to find respect for the it, and to dispel misconceptions
you might never like it, which is fine by me
i appreciate your input trav

Not all horrorcore sits around and disses God, etc. In fact- the ones that do that all the time are garbage in my book, because those are the guys that are MAINLY going for shock value (yes, I know that is what horrorcore mostly is - "shock value", but the guys that just talk shit about God the whole time are just horrible)

Examples:
-Stitch Mouth
-pretty much all of SKR.

there's not much good horrorcore now.
but there's a few.
KGP, Stitch Mouth, Sicktanick, Ressurrector

oh ya no doubt i respect the music and its genre cause it brings others pleasure to the ones that enjoy it as well as the creators who make it, so as long as people like it and it makes other people happy and they enjoy it, then thats cool i respect it...

First...
Like horrorcore or not, hip hop is hip hop and people are out there doin what they do best and with some wickid talent I might add, look at Ill Bill or Jedi Mind Tricks and yes I am a juggalo and proud but none the less they are out there making a living so props to every and anyone out there doin what they do.

Second...
Its not about making sense its about rapping and not givin a damn bout what anyone thinks. Alot of stuff doesn't make sense but we still pay attention to it. You honestly think ICP or Esham has actually gutted someone and tasted it? No. But they don't care its pushing the limits of things. Thats their style.
