Naw, they're not just saying shit to get their music sold. They're telling a story. They don't run around claiming to eat babies and kill people and all this shit, they're telling a story from their perspective. Maybe The Game and 50 Cent claim to kill people, but who cares about them wack ass niggas? That's what music is. Telling a story. There are fiction and non-fiction stories. It all depends on how you tell it which will determine if you're a good artist or a shitty one. Take 50 Cent, that fucker talks about killin niggas and robbin people. Does this punk really do that shit?? No, or at least, I don't think he does. You talk as much shit as 50 Cent talks on the streets, and your ass will be in a box in a week. Now look at Brotha Lynch Hung. Now that nigga tells a story, and a damn good one at that. He raps about some nasty shit, but he does it on top of real shit that happens, real life situations. So, where as a rapper will rap about killing the president out of anger (i.e. Immortal Technique) but will never do it, Brotha Lynch Hung will rap about killing and eating his kids, but still, won't do. So does that make either artist better than the other? Not in the slightest, they're both telling a story, and they're just doing it in a different way.

Also, more than 90% of "gangsta rap" is faker than ICP, yet I don't hear anyone complainin about Dr. Dre and Snoop. Meh, and Snoop is the biggest fuckin sell out I've ever seen. If you wanna jump on someone's nuts, jump on his.

OMFG here we go again apparently you didn't read the whole thread through cause that wasn't my last post, and yes every song is telling some sort of story but just like books there's fiction and non fiction, and i just happened to like my music to make some sort of real point, and you speaking as if i love 50 his first album was dope as hell cause he was hungry and gritty but now hes rich and don't need to do shit, and i don't see snoop as a sell out i see him as getting old, you want him to be 65 years old still saying FUCK THE POLICE or SIPPIN on GIN & JUICE?

also when gangster rap speaks on killing someone they are talking about if you fuck with me like if you shoot @ me, rob me, anything thats disrespectful in a harmful way then ima kill you

but there are those that do speak on ignorant shit and killing for ignorant shit but i choose not to listen to them

nobody talks about them cuz it is actually believable and goes on in the streets everyday....im sorry cutting a chickens head off and stuffing it in a virgins asshole does not happen everyday.

Damn! Haha. His new shit is completely different. I think I told people in this same thread to ignore his old shit. I agree with you on this though. It sounds terrible.

His new stuff is hardcore horrorcore mixed with metal. You gotta be a fan of horrorcore before you fuck with this heavy stuff. I'll look for something right now.

Anatomy of a School Shooting by Ill Bill. Great song.

Personally, songs like this takes a lot more creativity than rapping about going a bar and getting drunk, or smoking a blunt. He takes the role of Eric Harris (a school shooter) and criticizes society for its role, and the media, of how they create more shootings by immortalizing them on the TV etc.
