I don't understand the hate for free health care? Is the main reason for the hate because you might have to pay a bit more somewhere else through tax or w/e?

Welcome to the civilized world, brah's.

As soon as health care passes, the American people will see immediate benefits. The legislation will:

  • Prohibit pre-existing condition exclusions for children in all new plans;
  • Provide immediate access to insurance for uninsured Americans who are uninsured because of a pre-existing condition through a temporary high-risk pool;
  • Prohibit dropping people from coverage when they get sick in all individual plans;
  • Lower seniors prescription drug prices by beginning to close the donut hole;
  • Offer tax credits to small businesses to purchase coverage;
  • Eliminate lifetime limits and restrictive annual limits on benefits in all plans;
  • Require plans to cover an enrollee's dependent children until age 26;
  • Require new plans to cover preventive services and immunizations without cost-sharing;
  • Ensure consumers have access to an effective internal and external appeals process to appeal new insurance plan decisions;
  • Require premium rebates to enrollees from insurers with high administrative expenditures and require public disclosure of the percent of premiums applied to overhead costs.
By enacting these provisions right away, and others over time, we will be able to lower costs for everyone and give all Americans and small businesses more control over their health care choices.

Welcome to the civilized world, brah's.

it isnt free, it isnt for everyone, it raises taxes an absurd amount while not offering much, if any, positive.

^^^yeah thats it...b/c people are selfish and dont realize public services do just that, serve everyone...."fuck everyone else im not paying for that"

this doesnt offer much service and makes what services are available worse.

yall need to give it up to Obama... regardless of whether or not you like what they passed, he made that his #1 priority from day 1 on the campaign trail, his biggest talking point was that he was going to fight tooth & nail for health care reform. Unlike alot of other presidents I can think of, Obama lived up to his word & got it done.

Whereas Bush, for instance, made a point of talking up all sorts of things he never actually lived up to, and instead bullied through all sorts of bullshit that he never once talked about on the campaign trail.
Truthfully I think the media got it done. The media is a different animal since 2000 and their influence made it slot easier to digest for the public. They pushed a left wing agenda and won. They made the senate feel it was politically safe to vote yay.

damn mando medical means more immigration IMO.
I see the pro's and cons of it tho.
I rather pay higher taxes than have some person have a $10,000 hospital they cant pay because they are uninsured.
Have you been here I dont think I've seen you post in a long ass time Rasan.
