i still think that this insurance should not be mandatory. If you are going to offer cheap insurance thats great but still not everyone can afford and they shouldnt be punished with a fine just because they cant afford something. If they were concerned about the citizens of the U.S.A they would figure out a way to raise minimum wage and stop inflating the prices on everything

I have been all up and down the West Coast and the racist white folks I am talking about preferred to be called Peckerwoods. I never call my white homies Peckerwoods. That's just how we talk where I have been. When my Grandpa, Uncles and Pops were growing up in California, they always used the term "Okie". Now the NLR's, EK's etc. tell me to say "Peckerwood" or "Guero", because they don't really use that "Okie" term anymore.

As far as comparing the derogatory terms for people of color to Peckerwoods, Honkeys, etc. is no comparison. That's just the way it is! I have used those terms for white folks in a derogatory way and the majority of the white folks don't get offended. Only the racist pieces of shit who are full of hate use it as fuel to keep hating. If you drop a racist slur towards a Black, Latino, Asian etc. than you better be ready for consequences.

Most of that has to due with your history. Those racist terms used against folks of color were used to lower self-esteem, over power, etc. Calling whites those derogatory names didn't have the same effect since they felt superior over the years. If one tries and claims they have the same impact with racism then they are ignorant and full of shit! I'm also 99.9% sure the ones complaining about that are white too.

WOW! Just wow. Thats all i can say to all of that.

Okie is a term used for white outback folks from Oklahoma, that made their way out to the west coast.

...I am a WOOD & got no problem hearing someone call me that, it's a term of endearment. Just the same as I'm gonna call Mexican bangers 'Essays' & Asians n Islanders "Others"

Not cause it's racist, but thats just the way it goes when you are raised amongst certain politics.
Exactly!

do people make the same amount of money??? no.
Well obviously if people make more money they're gonna pay more taxes, but the thing is a higher percentage of their income is taxed

Basically they're being punished for working hard and being successful

I'm not saying I'm completely against different tax brackets, but how much are we going to continue to increase taxes for people with money?? It seems like eventually taxes are going to negate all that money people make, and nobody will have any drive or motivation to become successful

Why even try to make so much money if the government is going to take half of it away from me?

do people make the same amount of money??? no.

What does that have to do with anything?? You didn't say "where everyone should get the same treatment except financially"

You said;

DubcC415 said:
THIS IS ABOUT A COUNTRY. WHERE EVERYONE SHOULD GET THE SAME TREATMENT AS EVERYONE ELSE
Now how is taxing people differently and at different rates "the same treatment"?

By DEFINITION that is treating people differently, which in your own words is not what this country is about.

Unless of course you want to change your original quote to "everyone should get the same treatment, except when treating people differently (taxes) serves my interest (healthcare)" - which is what you are really saying now.

don't fuckin patronize me with your ignorance. Spend some time readin the fucking bill yourself instead of believing a fucking youtube video, then you'll see that every single point made in that video is either out of date (the video is from last August), or is exaggerating the truth / leaving critical details out.

lol@posting a fucking youtube video (!) from last August (!) and declaring it "THE TRUTH ABOUT THE HEALTHCARE BILL!"

and obviously I know there's at least a bit of propaganda taking place in that video... of course I realize it's exaggerated... I didn't happen to notice the video was from August, sorry, wasn't paying attention to the date... it does make somewhat of a difference though.

Thank you for pointing that out to me <---not sarcasm btw

but either way you look at it, there's no denying this bill allows the government to have more control over us, and it limits freedoms to a certain extent... for businesses and individuals

this is not something I want... when it comes to business and the economy, I feel the government should stay out of it as much as possible

and I don't like the government forcing me to do certain things and limiting my freedoms

it's funny how the government will regulate monopolies, yet they seem to be creating one here themselves... of course nobody is going to be regulating this monopoly

cool, your opinion. Of course I haven't read the entire bill in its' current state. I have spent several hours over the past few months reading through it to try to comprehend how it may affect those closest to me, and myself. As I said before, I've managed to read a good chunk of it.

If that seems like too much of a chore for you, I would suggest at least getting your info from a nonpartisan, up-to-date site like factcheck.org. Beats the hell out of a youtube video, trust me.
