searchin sites for audio drivers... dont know which to choose or what to look for

so i even tried the basic.. all programs- acessories- entertainment- volume control.. annd nothing . It says.. there are no active mixer devices available

now a new problem came up my computer works fine but it only stays on for a good 10 or 15 minutes then shuts down and restarts on its own.and the malware program aint working either,i re downloaded it still aint working.right now im using safe mode with networking..

need help fast.

i have AVG anti virus. everything is active and running fine...but my identity protection isnt.. and i keep geting this sytem warning - unprotected mode..at the bottom of my PC

and shyt popin up sayin my system is infected.

INTERNET SECURITY 2010 POP UP KEEPS POPPIN UP.. i feel like its a trojan or virus! but it also says sign up for the activation .but it aint free. gotta pay some shyt.

i need some kind of spyware..

for the meanwhile.. not sure how good this works.. i jus downloaded spyware doctor. says i have 213 infections. but i need to purchase the trial to get rid of it.. im cooooo

If its spyware then you dont need a virus removal tool to get rid of it cause its not a virus.. Have you tried adaware free edition?

I just got infected with "AntiVirus soft" and its doin the same thing, telling me my computer is infected and directing me to buy some scam program. It won't let me open any program that I could use to remove it. This shit sucks. I'm gonna try rebooting in safe mode and running some more scans but this shit seems so new that so far its not being picked up by the antispyware programs. Any suggestions?

If sand isn't' an option and you are truly sick of computer problems then I would suggest switching to linux.

Other than that, restart and hit f8 during the boot select safe mode with networking and get online to teh google and find instructions on removal at sites like http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remove-antivirus-soft

^no..i just bouhgt a security virus removal for $50 removed my viruses and the comp stil shuts off..it doesn't say anything it just resets on it's own.

The average person can use linux but as with anything new there comes a learning curve. The problem usually encountered on linux systems is how to get something working the first time, after that it usually just works pain free.

I am quick to suggest linux to everyone because I've used it for years and years and understand it. There are always headaches with any operating system. Currently I don't have virus and malware problems, my problems are annoyances like needing to visit youtube to view embedded videos in firefox. I'm sure the problem will be fixed before too long but for now I just deal with it.

You can do just about anything with Linux that you can with Windows it just takes a little effort to set it up :cheeky:

Linux is not for the faint of heart but I will never switch back. Why build your house on sand?

You can download a distro like ubuntu, burn it onto a blank cd, and run it off the cd without installing it on your computer. You won't have all the functionality that you would if you install it but you can test drive the basic interface none-the-less

ubuntu isn't the only linux tho, it's just one of the easiest. Linux comes in many forms as you will find if you visit http://distrowatch.com/ and check out some of the top distrobutions. Why pay for computer software when you can get the shit for free
