The Windows XP firewall works fine. If you must use a firewall there's free versions of Outpost and Sygate. ZA is a huge resource hog.

Use that Tune Up I suggested a while back.
Use the Uninstall Manager.
Uninstall.
Use Registry Cleaner
Clean it out the registry.
No problems.

Note:
If it does not come up on the uninstall manager
go straight to Registry Cleaning

Try to kill the process, in the process manager. I knew ZoneAlaram was a piece of shit. even if you uninstall it, it's still on your computer

Ok, that's what I got when I ran Symantec Security Scan.

How do I remove that...since I'm not computer savvy

if you did it manually it would go into your c drive then WINDOWS folder then system32 folder then that file be after the list folders in system32. now i can already tell you thats not it, you got more infected files. i would get rid of that norton crap it always miss alot of viruses. i use avast. they have a home edition which is free install that see what else pops up. and btw i read that most people end up reformatting their computers

try switching into safe mode and letting your antivirus program run, see if it can remove the trojan horse that way. if that fails, then you may have to reinstall windows.

I don't have/use Norton, I use avast. I just went to the Symantec site to do a scan.

Sym, Avast, and AVG all picked up the IRC/Backdoor.flood deal

ok need help again... i let somebody use my Windows installation CD and they lost my registration code... anyone know where i can get another one???? i dl'd like 3 keygens... and none of them worked.... it was a Windows XP home edition cd... someone help me out..
