And to be honest with you, the only thing I know about Hopsin is that he did a video for those Blood energy drinks which I happened to have sitting on a shelf beforehand, which I thought was cool... and the Katz/whoever video where I thought he sounded pretty good. So, to me, I'd rather support the artist and say "fuck you" to the label, any day.

That is extremely far from the truth. Probably 80% (generous estimate, its probably more) of Hopsin's fans found him through random forums like this or TRTN, youtube, facebook, myspace, or word of mouth. Ruthless has done shit for his career. Like Zero said, I didn't even know Ruthless still existed until I saw that Hop was signed to them

Yes I have heard about that before with artist/bands getting another label to buy out there contract so they can get released from the label they are having problems with. With the way he talks he should be having labels throwing themselves at him with deals. SO no problem there.

I'm not sure I understand why you guys think he's an asshole for complaining. He's complaining because they're treating him like shit. Alot of you guys complain when Tech songs are mediocre. It's understandable but its really not going to get you anywhere.

Also, Zero and anyone else who is interested, I know you said all you've really heard of his is the blood energy promo and a feature. He has a free mixtape with another guy who's not bad and then he has his Gazing at the Moonlight album which he actually wants people to just download because all the money is going to ruthless. Finally, if you want to know more about the guy he has a webcam show almost every week, Wednesdays at 6 Pacific.

The haters in this thread make me laugh... Hopsin makes good music, that a lot of people enjoy... He obviously made a mistake by signing with Ruthless, but if you were an emcee and had a chance to join a label that throws you a little money, and has the history of Ruthless, you might do the same thing... We all make mistakes, and that's the great thing about life... It's a live and learn process...
