like i said before keep doing what you do dude and you'll be on top one day.and all he's doing is venting and giving a lil insight.but yeah since i like an artist i also love it when they have a good story of struggle. so vent away and ill watch you rise well all these haters just keep doing what they do.
Stone's big break came when he started writing dope music. He already had a video out and was producing buzz before anybody knew about him being on the KOD Tour came to light.
And you're right about Hopsin. He definitely didn't rap in an international film called Fame at all and did it on his own.
Either way you look at it, Stone's getting better treatment to some degree, and judging solely on his personality, I'd say it's because he's a mature artist and a respectable person.
Hopsin comes off as crass and unpredictable with his emotions, which makes him a liability in the eyes of his employer.

Everyone who's saying that Stone is getting better treatment than Hopsin because of Hop's attitude doesn't know what they're talking about. Hop has been getting this treatment since Day 1 of his record deal like 5 years ago. As I recall, the first time he really spoke out against Ruthless was earlier this year when Damien Elliot wouldn't take the time to approve his Motherfucker video. So for someone who had an album shelved for 5 years, and then receiving 0 promotion for it once it finally dropped, shit I'd be pissed too. Who knows what goes on behind the scenes, but to say that Hop's mistreatment from Ruthless is due to his behavior is not a valid argument
I understand what you're saying, but if I were to sign a contract I would go over the whole thing including promotion. Ruthless obviously will fuck him over regardless but its not a good look to other labels when he cant keep his mouth shut. Why would a label wanna sign a guy that talks shit constantly?
Coming from the guy that bitches in every god damn thread on this forum. I'm "hating" because all dude wants to do is bitch about his label. It's simple, if you want shit done your way, dont sign with someone else.
Why is it a surprise that a rapper wants to rap about his label if he's stuck there and they're doing nothing with him? I'm sure when he was offered a deal by the label, he assumed that they were signing him because they wanted to make some moves, not bury him. You don't sign a deal as an up-and-coming new artist with the assumption that your label is going to put all their eggs in one basket and forget about you.

#1. Yes I would absolutely read the contract. I would want to know what kinda deal I was getting into. He saw an offer and ran with it but maybe they should've discussed marketing strategies?

I'd say it's quite the opposite sir... The type of writing it takes to talk about how you feel when you're in a strip club or a restaurant isn't really the same as "I've been fucked over". Besides that, and I could go on about the difference between Tech's verses on OG to a record label "fuck you" track for a minute, but it's really not necessary. But either way I think people aren't huge fans of OG because of the beats, the chorus', and the content.
When I wrote the statement you quoted and put in bold, I was pretty much alluding to the fact that the reason we love Tech is because he spoke with what was on his mind. There was a time during AP when Tech was a rockstar at Satin Dolls and inspired some interesting songs and ideas.
Now the songs are about butt sweat and his fat dick.

If you're a label that feels strongly about this guy, and actually wants to put his shit out, then you won't worry about him making a "fuck my label" track. It's a bit different from Tech's situation, but if Hopsin got to a new label where he was free to do whatever and drop albums, it wouldn't be much different from Tech doing tracks that talk shit about JCOR.
