and going to tha store and buying a cd that had wack production flows etc. thats a slap in tha face for tha person that bought it, burning cd's is saving money for tha consumer (im not saying burning is tha way to go) and also more exposure for tha artist, people will buy tha OG cd eventually cause if they like it they will buy it and look out for more future releases from that artist, i sure hell like to listen to a cd first before i buy cause i dont want to waste a dub for nothin when i coulda bought some food with that, you can hate burning downloading etc but that shit will never stop, you can guaruntee you meet any person anywhere, they either burn cd's or have burnt cd's or have people burn it for them, its everywhere

Aint nothin gon stop it man. Complainin definately won't stop nothin. The music business is in a lot of trouble. All the major companies are cutting back, mufuckas aint sellin at the rate they used to, shit just aint lookin good. Cats need to understand that. You got a lot cats like YoUnG k9 that basically could give a rats ass about the work an artist has put into his/her project. Then you got cats that come on message boards and act like they're against burning and piracy but burn more than the cats that act like they don't give a fuck.

I can understand em tho (even as a producer who actually has some integrity and puts his heart and soul into his work) - If you hungry and somebody offers you a sandwhich for $5, and somebody else offers you a sandwhich for nothin, you'll take that free sandwhich. That's just how cats are. Mufuckas love them some free shit, lol, no matter what it is. I aint sayin it's right, but that's just how it is and cats gotta learn to live with it and quit cryin about it.

Blame technology if you gon blame anything.

Not always true. Justify it in any form or fashion, it's still bullshit. But can't nobody stop it.

The consumer has such a short attention span nowadays, that music isn't as important to people as it once was. You got the internet, videogames, clubs, movies, bitches etc all fighting for the consumers attention and dollar that any break the purchasing public can give their wallets, they'll do it. And unfortunately, it's the music industry that's being hurt by this. Like D-LOCC said, cats is droppin bullshit (that's a whole other conversation). And he's right. You gotta ask yourself, "Why am I spending $15 - $18 12 - 20 times a year on this bullshit when I can get it free?" And that's a good argument.

I don't understand? lol c'mon dawg, this shit hurts me too. I produce for some of the more talented artists in Frisco, and because of the burnin and shit, sales aren't what they should be and so on and so forth.

As far as respect is concerned, can't nobody do nothin about the lack of respect the general public has for the creative process. If you have a solution to this I would love to hear it .....

I definately feel you. I used to be the same way. But you gotta realize these mufuckas DON'T CARE. It's as simple as that. Don't stress yourself tryin to guilt trip the ignorant into changing. It don't work. Trust me I know.
