True most fans are already panicking but cmon, you prepare all this time just to play like this in week 1? Niners just seem to play shitty at Qwest all the time, and on the road for that matter.

I don't expect the 9ers to beat the Saints next week after seeing how they still can't execute for more than a drive. And Smith being inaccurate, while Crabtree not taking practice/preseason too serious really hurt.

And I hate when the 9ers lose because like every other team they play once per week and it takes awhile to get over it.

it's funny how optimism for the Niners dropped down SO much after one game

you guys were talking about beating the Saints next week, winning the division, and maybe going deep in the playoffs... now you guys don't think you'll make .500, lol

with that being said... it's the same situation here on the other side of the Bay... we're all down in the dumps right now... so I have no room to talk shit... it's just funny

I guess 2010 will not be the comeback year for Bay Area football like we all thought... or who knows... maybe it will be... it's only week 1 still...
Our optimism changed after only one game because like Dfresh77 said all niner fans had high hopes for the niners this season. Singletary said Alex Smith is the starter and had no doubts about him all through summer camp and pre-season. The media hyped us up in favoring us to win the division easily. The bay area media kept saying this is Alex Smith's year yada yada etc.

Then the first game of the season, a division game, he looks like the same god damn Alex Smith we've been seeing again and again. It's depressing. We've given him the benefit of the doubt too long. "Alex had to go through different offensive coordinators so it's hard for him to adjust to the play calling." "All Alex Smith needs is an O-line so he can have time to throw." What excuse are we going to give him next? I don't know how long it will take for the organization to realize they busted on the #1 pick in 2005 and cut their loss and start over at QB.

It wasn't just Alex playing like shit, it was EVERYONE playing like shit. Horrible secondary, horrible pass rush, horrible blocking and push by the o line, horrible coaching, etc. Niners blew it. They had a chance to go ahead early by a lot and take out the crowd, but they fucked up. I'm surprised nobody has blamed Joe Staley? Dude is supposed to be our best lineman and he got WORKED.

I know it was preseason but it was the Niners secondary that looked the most suspect and now that a real game was played and they got worked again there should definitely be some changes made there.

Staley gave up a sack and Anthony Davis gave up two....

I still say Clements should give up his position..he's fucking weak!!!!!!!!

but remember, in order for a game to be won...the QB has to take control of the game as well and Smith didn't execute that shit at all...

I still say Jimmy Raye shouldn't be our OC ...he doesn't have it in him at all..

I don't know what the fuck Coach Sing see's in Raye's play calling..because it's fucking horrible!!!!!!!!

Jimmy Raye isn't going anywhere anytime soon so we got to just deal with it. Coach Sing likes him because they share similar football philosophies and he can get Jimmy to do whatever he wants. I still can't get over how different the game might of been if the niners would of executed in the redzone early. If you only watch that first quarter and then only watch the last quarter you think "wow, what the fuck happened." Another thing is the niners probably underestimated the Seahawks. I said in the off season that the team that worried me the most in the west was the hawks.

There was only 1 positive out of this game and that's that the run defense still looks really solid.

The Hawks have owned the 9ers for the past several seasons with the exception of the '06 season.

And yeah the 1st quarter was good stat wise but they couldn't punch into the endzone at all. If they did it would have sucked the life outta the 12th man, but nope.

And yes we will be stuck with Alex Smith and Jimmy Raye for this season, we can only hope for the best.

On CSN they're tearing Alex Smith apart! he's a fucking incompetent QB...

I'm glad that they're saying all those mistakes were his mistakes..because they were!!

It's the same Alex Smith...nothing has changed.....

They're also saying Jimmy Raye should be coaching from the sideline like every other OC in the NFL...he's the only OC that coaches from upstairs and it takes 5-6 secs to relay calls to Johnson .....

told y'all ...Raye is the problem too....fuuuuck! I'm so pissed Jed York refuses to get rid of these cancerous people in his camp........

Should've just kept Hill, I think Hill threw 5 TD's to 2 INT's before he was benched.
They said his arm strength wasn't good enough, but apparently Smith's isn't either, lol. I think I only saw him throw once past 40 yards yesterday to Ted Ginn but he underthrew it.

Who yall need to blame is that box of rocks you have as a head coach. Singletary was a great player, but really has not shown anything other than being a great motivator.....
Lombardi was a great motivator too, infact, probably the best in anything including sports. So much so that even our rugby league coaches implement his teachings on how to be winners. I'm not saying sing is great like him, but that is a start, look what he did with Vernon.

He just needs a good offensive co-ordinator and a capable QB. Alex Smith is almost there, but it doesn't help when your #1 WR misses pre season and runs his route wrong that leads to a pick 6. And it also doesn't help when they can't get the play down to Smith in time. They need to give him opportunities to call his own plays if this ever happens again.

Niners have the people in place on the field to atleast have a winning season this year.

hes more than just a great motivator, but that alone is worth a lot.

he is also a great evaluator, a decent/good decision maker and a good leader.

he is a good defensive coach, but not offense. the team needs a good offensive counter-part desperately.

i can see why some1 might call him a box of rocks tho, its cuz he is lightweight stubborn/protective of some players. thats cuz shitting on them could ruin their confidence.

i trust Sing overall, but i wish he would do something about Raye. i wanted that last year too but i also understood having the same coord for 2 years "should" help things.

Yeah i was gonna say that. Singletary doesn't know which way is up as far as the offense goes and thats really where the main focus should be at the moment. Wasn't Nolan the same way?
