i was watching highlights last night and i saw sean hill throw a beautiful pass to some dude on the lions but i guess he didn't maintain control once he hit the ground.

im starting to think we would be better off if we kept hill instead of smith. don't forget how hill played in that game vs minnesota last year.

Hill is ok but the 9ers need a new QB period, should've traded for McNabb or pulled the trigger on someone else.

Vick? We wanted to take a chance on him but all the fuckin animal lovers here in the Bay would complain and protest or somethin. Seems like people care more about animals than people.

The play calling looked like shit to me, everything seemed to be kept simple. We never threw over the shoulder balls, some type of fade route, that's why they always knew that we were going short yards on passes and I formation running plays. Its too predictable and obvious. We got out coached.

It looked more like the team gave up on smith. First quarter was all 9ers dominating. Pete Carrol looks like he was still coaching college, using the momentum to his advantage and never letting up...with a different qb behind center that wouldve been an ENTIRELY different game

But the play calling shit is true too, they can't balance the playbook to have smith throw in what appears to be running plays, and the shotgun draw plays aren't really working much either

i have been 1 of the biggest alex smith supporters all along. And today i realize the error in my ways. with him at the helm i do not see us winning 8 games. i feel bad for our defense who knows no matter how well they play the O is gonna fuck it up.

Alex must go. if not now, soon! and our other QB's aint shit either. we are just fucked.

I will watch this season knowing that we will be hit and miss all year.

And as much as it pains me to say this, The Raiders QB might be better than ours right now and J Campbell sucks too.

We need a new OC. Jimmy Rayes play calling is so obvious that I was calling out "its a Run/Pass" while watching this game and guess what. I was right more than half the time. Why the fuck did we bring in Westbrook? Fuckin Raye should of utilized him in the 3rd down situations with dump offs to him.

it's funny how optimism for the Niners dropped down SO much after one game

you guys were talking about beating the Saints next week, winning the division, and maybe going deep in the playoffs... now you guys don't think you'll make .500, lol

with that being said... it's the same situation here on the other side of the Bay... we're all down in the dumps right now... so I have no room to talk shit... it's just funny

I guess 2010 will not be the comeback year for Bay Area football like we all thought... or who knows... maybe it will be... it's only week 1 still...

Meta....just as much as you are frustrated with your QB situation....you shouldn't be at all, Campbell is slightly better than Smith ...

I had put some faith of Alex Smith ...I even said it, I have to see him WIN at least two games in order for me to give him full credit. But after that horrible game, there's no excuses for him or even give him a chance.

I'll be damned if we lose week 2 vs the Saints and he still is the starter QB.....

I got my tickets and I'm ready to put them up for sale, except for the 49ers vs Raiders game. I am going to that one...

I'm not really frustrated with our QB situation

I mean we had Jamarcus Russell at QB last year... compared to him Jason Campbell (or any QB for that matter) is fuckin Peyton Manning, lol

I'm frustrated with our O-line more than anything

Jason Cambell isn't great... he is average... yesterday he didn't do shit, but didn't have a chance to either... so the verdict is still out on him IMO
