I remamber watching "Back to the beach" ( corny 80's surf movie with pee-wee herman, annette funicello & Frankie Vale ) back in the day & seeing the surfer gang guys ride those int he ocean & vowed I would someday do it too.

....but I refuse to go in Northern Cali waters so that is a far fetched dream for now. Maybe on vacation I will.

I would use it in the ocean outside half moon bay. Drop some crab nets, pack a lunch. Look for whales, fish a little. Make sure to have a radio incase engine fail. long as you don't go to deep out.
