I have no idea who that is but whenever someone in football calls it quits that's not just old as fuck I always figure that's why. I mean that would be my reason. I'd only play like 3 seasons no matter how good I was and then just retire with a few million fuck all that fame shit I don't want my brain being Jell-O.

He should have stayed in the AL in the first place he could have switched to DH after getting fucked up in the field so much and put up better numbers in comparison to how he was from the middle to end part of his career. Still one of the best to do it regardless though.

it takes awhile now since the newer collective bargaining agreement; rookies can't just get multimillion dollar deals that easily. i think its set up now so they automatically get signed to 4 year deals and it's the same amount of money set depending on when they're drafted for each player, plus whatever incentives and bonuses the team wants to tack on. So basically it wouldn't work out; almost all players are drafted from college so that's 4 years right there, the another on a 4 year rookie deal, so you have to survive through basically 8 years to earn those millions now, at least im pretty sure. im well aware of what you were saying and understand the spirit of your post i just think typing a long drawn out unasked for explanation on something you don't care about like this is hilarious. im reading it as mixerr's voice in my own head ayy lmao

As a Seattle homer its blasphemy to speak bad about Griffey, I mean you might as well pack your bags and gtfo you just don't do it, but man; just the way he ended his career kind of irks me. I've always been bugged by that "baseball players are fat and lazy" shit that people say and Griffey was definitely lazy as fuck at the end there lol.... and all I can think is how amazing he would have been if he maintained high levels of training. He would actually make fun of ppl for training really hard and taking it so seriously

Fine then I'd retire after 3 years at the age of 25 with hundreds of thousands of dollars and get a part time job doing something I like and invest most my money and ride it out until I die of old age in bed in my modest sized house in a good neighborhood with a nice car. Sounds fine to me too.

Is Bonds ever going to get in or is all that shit that happened probably going to keep him out? I mean pretty much everyone was using that shit back then but dude lied to a grand jury and sports writers tend to not like that kind of shit much for whatever reason.
