Those protein folding disease's you talk about are pretty complex. They are infectious, and I believe mutated on a genetic level. Its actually amazing that a protein can be infectious, I mean its not even living, but it multiplies its self rapidly. There's a lot of angles people are shooting for to solve. Its like cancer, but instead of a rapidly invasive cells they are proteins - I believe mainly in the brain. I don't think anyone actually know why it happens, they have theory but no evidence.

My limited knowledge: Most everything in biochem is lock and key fit, and sucks how exponential mutated growths are. Some way research needs to find something that attaches to the prion to stop it inducing other brain tissue to fold. These proteins sequences can be 1000's if very complex maybe 10,000 long, with substituent groups. It could be one group on the protein as the culprit, or could be a combo at different sites. These arn't straight chains either, they are globs. Thats a mess of a problem to solve.

Chiral focus on a micro level, when a carbon has 4 different groups. This stuff is more of a glob 3D change on a macro level.

Errrr... correction, I mean CHARISMATIC molecular bloods. That just walk around talking the crips into rejoining the local movement.

now thinking about it, could also be rRNA fault, maybe it coded the sequence off a bit.

There's no proof you get prion disease from the environmental. Like eating a mad cow, and now you have it. I think its a internal body fuck up.

I wonder how antibodies respond in early stages, or if they recognize it as foreign.
