Organic Chemistry lab... synthetically make shit that is biological active.

Difference from Biochem, is they the chemical make up of living shit, and how it works on a molecular level. Our lab trys to synthetically make compounds that could be on cancer surfaces. So in hopes that anti-bodies attack it, you can make a vacine out of it.

Organic Chem > Bio Chem. Organic Chem is Drug Chemistry, and all about synthesis.

Gotcha. Cool shit. So I assume your work is more on the actual mechanics of synthesizing compounds (are they proteins?) rather than figuring out what compounds need to be synthesized?

Friendly educated advice. Unless your friend is going to have access to a set up that has EVERYTHING he is used to working on in the lab, he is an idiot for thinking his lab knowledge is going to translate to applied work without a shitload of testing.
