u right but do you know how many mexicans are in the U.S.(a whole lot), they will come in fool force to support one of their super stars no problem
Alvarez has barely fought in the states, barely been televised in the states and most of his fights were aired on Televisa (Mexico) only. They'll come out in full force for a Mexican that they know .. Alvarez I believe will be a star one day .. he's not there in the states right now. Alvarez won't be driving any PPV sales here.

I guarantee most of the people that follow boxing on this website haven't seen him fight more than once.

Floyd looked a bit nervous, Shane seemed pretty calm and confident. Floyd will have to land some good punches early in this fight to get Shane's respect or else Shane is going walk him down and be on his ass the whole fight.

how is that worse? You said clottey landed 400 punches, I come with the exact compubox numbers of 108 landed....again how is that worse?? WTF

If you can limit your opponent to landing only 100 punches, over the course of 12 rounds, that's a win man. That means he's landing less than 10 punches per round.
If Clottey only landed 108 punches and Pacman still got his face busted up by a guy who didn't want to commit that says something about his chances against Mayweather. That's just prudent thinking don't you think.

The force by which each fighter (Mayweather/Clottey) hits his opponent is a factor, also. Clottey isn't a one shot knockout artist, but he does have tremendous strength, IMO, while Floyd is content to pot-shot his opponent, especially immobile fighters who are content to stand in front of him, hoping to land that one shot...

how does that say anything about mayweather? Floyd doesn't really have any power. Pac's bruised eye was also caused by a clash of heads.

This makes absolutely no sense, and says NOTHING about his chances against Mayweather.

Triangle theories don't work in the fight game.

It can't be said enough: Styles make fights.

Those Max Kellerman face offs are sick. I really like how they're doing those for the big fights.

Floyd's got supreme confidence, I didn't see any bit of nervousness about him in this video.

I didn't agree with Max Kellerman about defensive fighters giving Floyd the most problems, though I do think that he has had a little bit of problems with slicksters like Corley and Judah.

I think pressure is the way to collapse his defense, though no one he has faced has been able to apply it throughout a whole fight. Castillo did in their first fight, and you could see how uncomfortable he was in that fight especially during the second half of the fight, which is usually when Floyd starts to adjust and take over.

Shane needs to apply smart pressure, and keep Floyd on the ropes. The jab. He has to use the jab! I know Naz got a gameplan cooking up, I can't wait for this damn fight.

they agreed on 8oz gloves, of course floyds will be more pillow to protect his hands but shane's will be for all power.

doesn't matter though cuz if cotto can outbox shane so can floyd.
Cotto didn't outbox Mosley, he did have a good jab tho, that fight shoulda been a draw if you ask me. Mosley just gave him too much respect in that fight and he is far from the same fighter you saw in the Cotto fight. Mosley would knock Cottos block off if they ever fought again he even asked for a rematch which Cotto refused

Really? So Cotto wasn't boxing his way in the final rounds, which ultimately scored him the victory?

He doesn't have much power. He had more power at 135 but not so much at 147. Which is why he hasn't knocked anyone out at 147 besides Ricky Hatton.

Why is that some crazy statement? Floyd doesn't have much power at 147, he has brittle ass hands and doesn't punch hard. That doesn't matter though, he wins by accuracy & timing. Some guys don't have power. Shit, Bernard Hopkins hasn't knocked anyone out at 10 years makes no difference.

lol you call that boxing I call that running cause thats exactly what Cotto did in the last rounds of that fight.

as for mayweather it just comes down to his style, hes a true boxer and never goes for the kill same for hopkins that doesn't mean they have no power. they just like to break your style and will down before they go for the kill. thats why every fighter they have beat has never been the same after they beat them(Trinidad,Tarver, Pavlic, Hatton, Winky, Zab Judah, and plenty others)
