I think it's pretty obvious Margarito had loaded gloves in the first fight so I certainly wouldn't hang that over Cotto's head.

And at that time Margarito was a force in boxing. Remember he destroyed an undefeated Kermit Cintron, destroyed Sebastian Lujan, beat Joshua Clottey and had a very close fight with Paul Williams where he started to fuck williams up at the end but came up a point or two short on the scorecards cuz he started late.

And Canelo has never been rocked, really?? He was nearly KO'd by Miguel Cotto's tiny brother, Jose Cotto.

Go to 1:15 of this video and you'll see Canelo nearly knocked out in the first round by a career lightweight fighter:

-How many punches did Gatti land per round? I think it would be similar to that.

-Mosley landed 20% of his total punches against Floyd. I just don't see Cotto doing any better, even with his jab which Mayweather is very good at neutralizing. Cotto always abandons the jab after a few rounds anyways.​

I actually think Cotto is the best available opponent for Floyd, other than say Sergio Martinez, and I was against Floyd fighting Canelo. Like I said I just think you're a hypocrite for dissing pac for beating cotto but yet you're super happy floyd is fighting him.

Cotto is a great fighter. He's not on floyd or pac's level though, that doesn't mean he sucks. wilfredo benitez was an amazing fighter. Sugar Ray Leonard & Tommy Hearns beat him that doesn't mean benitez wasn't good, just means he wasn't as good as Hearns & Leonard.

personally I don't think so. Like I said above he's going to have trouble getting inside on floyd. Cotto has short arms and Floyd has really long arms, not to mention floyd is one of the best counter punchers in the game, has some of the best defense in the game and of course is much faster than Cotto. So it's a really tough task for Cotto stylistically speaking. Floyd always is fantastic at keeping just the right distance between him and his opponent and with his reach advantage, that's trouble for cotto.

So if that's true, size won't be a factor. If cotto can't land consistently what good is having a few pound weight advantage?
