level 30, just got my blacksmithing to 92, have a full set of ebony armor and a daedric warhammer. im thinking about upping the difficulty to master, shit is kind of too easy now on expert. the only times i die are from getting blasted from magic or if the game doesnt register my weapon swing, and i miss for some reason, then an enemy with a two handed sword somehow cuts my head off with like one hit lol

i need to get my enchanting and alchemy up i think my alchemy is like 40 and my enchanting is like 36 or something shitty :(

these companion quests are hella fun, highly recommend you do them if you havent. i think one of the best moments ive had with this game was when something happens during the companion quests and you end up reading a journal afterwards, i dont want to spoil it for anyone but that shit was pretty impressive, the depth in this game is nice

apparently you can also negotiate a peace treaty between the stormcloaks and imperials
i just found that out yesterday

i went artifact hunting instead and found this ebony sword
now i have to kill 10 friends to activate its power lol
i think ill start by killing the familiy who owns the mill in riverwood

i was in some dungeon and there was this room i ended up skipping, i was like "fuck that theres probably nothing in there", but it just bugged me and bugged me so i finally went back to that room after i cleared the dungeon. turned out there was a master chest in there, i broke like 10 lockpicks with my shitty 41 lockpicking skill, finally unlocked it, and there was an ebony armor chest plate in there with 40% regeneration enchanted on it, lol by far the best item ive found in the game so far

i dont know what the point of typing that out was but it was a pretty dope moment i wnated to share

in the very beginning of the game i didnt realize that i followed the imperial dude, until i already ran into the door. then after the guy started explaining sorry, i was just following orders to kill you, hear me out and join the imperials dude, i was like wtf fuck that, i shouldve went the other way with the other prisoner lol. but i was too lazy to restart and have to go through all that character creation and loading screen and shit. it took me like 10 minutes to make my character cause i actually shaped his body and face to be all hulk like and super dark skinned and shit, lol.

this game seems kind of linear though, i think its kind of dumbed down in a lot of ways cause its a pretty mainstream game. for instance i havent seen one single "your faction has increased" or faction has decreased with Whoever message during like 40 hours of game play so far. so im pretty sure my options are still wide open. i think ill hold off on picking a side till i learn some more stuff about it all; game lore wise

my character is following like a "man's man" role i guess, like i found some dude named "an Old Orc" or something in the middle of nowhere standing by some mountains, and he talked about how all he wants is an honorable death, so i challenged him and killed his ass cause it was the honorable thing to do. (i think this might have been easter egg paying homage to Morrowind, cause im pretty sure i killed him and took his bad ass sword in that game lol) also small things like some thieves guild chick was bullying a stable boy so i intimidated her to back off; ill help out the towns folk and shit.

yea this is nerd talk so what, lol. and yea i know im like half a year late on all this skyrim talk but whatever, this game kicks ass. if another game like this comes out im buying that shit day one so i can nerd talk it up with everybody when its still a relevant topic

^ it doesn't matter who you escape with at the start of the game, you can still join either faction later on

yea i know, i was just kinda pointing out that practically every choice you make doesnt really matter, the game is linear meaning there is one path it takes you down

i think if i start to get bored once i get daedric armor and dragon armor and my enchanting and alchemy strong enough to make an insanely powerful weapon ill just act like i became drunk with power and snapped, and start massacring everything i come across lol. i cant see myself getting bored though

does anybody know anything about the DLC? is it like a separate game almost in the sense that you start a new character and all that? as far as it being 20 hours of content that doesnt seem too promising. i could do that shit in a day, im a marathon gamer

Skyrim’s 1.6 Update Is Now Available On Xbox 360

Bethesda has announced that Skyrim’s latest update, 1.6, is now live on the Xbox 360. This update adds in mounted combat, and fixes a lot of the game’s pesky bugs. Players will now finally be able to make use of those expensive horses strewn about the lands, and there will be an even greater sense of loss when they get crushed by a giant.

The full patch notes for 1.6 are as follows:

Added features:

Mounted Combat – Skyrim will now allow players to perform melee and ranged combat attacks while riding a horse

Bug Fixes

General stability and memory optimizations.
General AI pathfinding optimizations and bug fixes.
Optimizations and crash fixes for data leaks.
Fixed rare crash with lighting.
Fixed crashes related to loading and saving games.
Fixed crash with summoned creatures/NPCs.
Fixed rare issue where saves would be corrupted.
Improved logic for when ranged kill cams are played.
Fixed issue with ranged kill cams while killing a dragon.
Fixed rare issue with certain ranged kill cams not playing properly.
Fixed issue with nirnroot lighting not properly cleaning up.
Fixed issue where bow damage was being calculated incorrectly.
Fixed rare problem with werewolf kill moves would not finish animating properly.
In “The Break of Dawn” fixed rare issue where Meridia’s Beacon would disappear from player’s inventory.
Fixed occasional issue where followers would disappear after player pays off a bounty after committing a crime.
Fixed issue where certain creatures and NPCs would fail to respawn properly.
Fixed rare issue with dialogue subtitles not displaying properly.
Fixed issue with water appearing blurry when loading a saved game after creating a save underwater.
Fixed issue where map cursor would occasionally disappear after closing a message box with Kinect enabled (Xbox 360).
Fixed rare issue with shouts only performing the first level and not other unlocked levels with Kinect enabled (Xbox 360).
Fixed issue where the shout buttons would stop working properly if users mashed LB and RB during cooldown with Kinect enabled (Xbox 360).

The update has been live on the PC version Skyrim via Steam for a little while now. Xbox 360 players can relish in some Zelda-esque fighting among the snowy drifts of Skyrim with the new update. The only thing we’re missing now is a Zelda mod that throws Link in as Dovahkiin. I wonder if his “Fus Ro Dah” would be silent?

the dlc gets added to the game so you wont have to start a new character

ive been doing the thieves guild quests, but i hate those motherfuckers. theyre always talking hella shit. i punked the thieves guild leader during that mission to burn the beehives and jack something out of the safe; he said dont kill anybody and dont get caught and only burn down 3 hives. i ran to the place and massacred all the people outside, like 12 people lol, then walked through the front door and massacred everybody in there including the guy who he said not to kill. he was all liek "I told you to only burn 3 hives! Maven is furious! ill let it slide but dont do it again" lol faggot. i shouldve killed him then and there and wiped out the whole thieves guild but ill keep playing along making money and getting experience from quests till theyre no longer useful to me.

i kind of feel like murking maven too

i could have made thousands more gold and had my enchanting skill way higher at this point if i was doing the shit right. ive had soul trap on my weapons just cause it looks pretty cool when you kill someone and it procs but i should have been buying up all the petty soul gems everytime i saw them available. i wanted to get my enchanting up a few points so i started enchanting iron daggers with siphon health. the petty soul gem was worth like 30 gold or something, the iron dagger was like worth 10 gold, but after you enchant it with the life leeching thing it makes it worth like 600 gold lol (sell it to merchants for like 280 cause my speech is only at 60). i could have been rich by now if i had been enchanting everything i crafted this whole time.

oh well, live and learn
