this game kick ass. finally borrowed it from someone on monday and ive been mething the fuck out on it. im level 26 and ive killed like 8 dragons already lol. im orc and ive only used two handed hammers this whole entire time

does anybody else have a problem with leveling up but your skills dont keep up? for instance my two hand skill is only like 64, when my blacksmithing is 80 lol. my block is only like 51 and my heavy armor is only 54, those skills never ever go up it takes forever for them to change

i feel like even though im level 26 im as weak as ever. ive been using the same orc warhammer for like 15 levels now, with only minor changes (upgraded it to "epic" wiht an ingot). i need to make some ebony armor but so far ive only come across 4 ebony ingots total, merchants never have that shit, and when they do they only have like 1. enchanting seems like it kicks ass, im going to take some of the enchanting skill points and try and craft a dope ebony warhammer whenever i can get the ingots for it

been playing this game completely blind with no strategy guide or tips, the only way to play a game like this IMO

also im kind of "roleplaying" (no homo) a little bit, meaning from the get-go i told myself i was orc / two handed hammer / heavy armor the whole game, no changes. the only magic ill bother using is healing. i only use a bow to kite or pull stuff, and i dont do any of that sneaking around shit

If you have a comp its a waste of money to be honest, get all this shit for free.

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/index.php
i play ps3
but i would still get the dlc cos i prefer original content
theres some good mods i wish i could get too tho
but i understand all that comp stuff anymore so ill probably never get one
besides.. $20? thats the price of 4 hotdogs where i live lol to me its pretty cheap

Sounds like your doin it the right way by choosing a play style and like 4-5 skills to specialize in, instead of trying to do everything half ass. Yea the skills increase at different rates depending on how you play. If your smithing is hella high but your two handed is low it's cause you've been spending most of your time at the anvil and not hammering fools heads in lol. But yea that's normal

Almost got my smithing to 100. It's been a lot of iron daggers, but dragon armor here I come. Yea buddy

just wondering, is dragon armor considered light armor or heavy armor? ive saved up 26 bones and 26 scales cause i was planning on making dragon armor this whole entire time, but i think i remember someone saying it was light armor. that would suck ass if my whole goal was to have dragon armor and i cant even use it effectively LOL

should i just sell all those bones and scales and start worrying about getting daedric armor instead?
fuck i should just look this up im sure the information is out there, but i dont want to "cheat"

yea lol ive never had more than 6000 gold at one time cause im constantly buying leather and iron, ive probably made like a thousand fuckin iron daggers and hide bracers by now lol. i spend almost all my time wiping out caves and forts and shit and making runs back to town with all the loot to make money to buy more iron and shit lol. shit got a lot easier after i figured out you can quick travel with a horse. ill load myself up with like 700 pounds of junk then quick travel back to town on the horse and sell that shit

i bet ill feel retarded when i get farther in the game and start picking up items that sell for like a thousand gold and ive been wasting my time selling iron and steel armor and weapons and shit. thats what happened in fallout new vegas, spent a ton of time making money at a low level then once you hit a certain point almost every single item isnt even worth picking up except for potions and ingredients

i spent like an hour and a half letting a mudcrab beat up on me while blocking to bring my blocking from 36 to 50 lol. id wait till i got to like 10% health then run off while healing myself, then run in circles till my mana got to like 40%, then letting it beat up on me again. by the time my health got back down to 10% my mana would be full again and i could repeat it. im sure theres probably a better way but thats the best i could figure out at the time lol.

you could do the same thing for heavy armor skill too, your armor skill raises if you let it beat up on you when youre not blocking

Dragon armor is both.

Dragon scales will create a light armor, dragon bones will create a heavy armor.

However, the best heavy armor is daedric armor

i need to make myself an ebony warhammer when i get home, and enchant myself some armor with +13% two-handed weapon damage on there

i just run into rooms with no caution at all trying to swing home runs lol, it works pretty good except for when i start getting blasted with magic. i bet like 90% of my deaths are cause of magic

I kinda wish I did that. I probably already said this in the thread, but I bought the Collector's Edition and saw the Daedric Armor in the art book and decided I it was so badass that I had to have it. After playing for a while, I looked up the best way to get it. Once I had it, I was kinda like, "I accomplished what I wanted to do, now I'm kinda bored" and stopped playing.

Not sure, but I think the block skill increases faster if you block with a shield. If your using a two handed weapon, that may be why its hella slow. My sword/shield Orc has a pretty high block skill. Runnin shield bash FTW

i know have one handed weapons doing 130 damage and a bow which does 230

i'm getting one shot kills on giants and mammoths with my bow and it takes no more than 10 arrows to take out a dragon

Yeah i just ranked the fuck out of heavy armor, 2 handed weapons and smithing and this shit got way to easy so i got bored and stopped playing..It wasn't even a challlenge i could just let somebody stab me for like 5 minutes and then just one hit em to drop em... I should probably start another character.

I think I'm in the upper 30s. Yea there's not much point in playin after 45 ish. Leveling takes forever. That's when you start a new different character IMO
