the people who answer no to that question are the ones who have been dumbed down by the quality of hiphop/rap today...the music our youth is listening too definatly makes them dumber.....

Considering I know both of them, and communicate with both of them offline, I just gotta say that if the two of you actually talked you would both understand where the other is coming from.
I'VE TRIED THAT APPROACH. CUZZ DETOURS FROM THE ISSUES AND QUESTIONS POSED TO HIM. I'M OPEN TO CHOP IT UP AND SEE WHERE HIS HEAD IS AT WITH IT. I AIN'T TOO gOOD.

LOL...now youre just nit picking. Him acknowledging the word is part of the sarcasm of his name.
NOT ENTIRELY TRUE. HIM EVEN USIN' THE WORD IS gIVIN' POWER TO IT'S USE.

Says who, you? Who are you and why does your opinion on something mean more than someone elses?

YES, gOOD OLD E-D-MUTHA-FUCCIN'-J. WHO AM I? A MAN THAT DONE LIVED THE LIFE THESE FAKES TRY TO gLAMORIZE. A MAN THAT WAS RAPPIN' SINCE 84' AND SEEN TRENDS COME AND gO IN THIS RAP SHIT. SOMEBODY FROM THE PERSPECTIVE THAT'S AUTHENTIC AND CAN BREAK IT DOWN. IF SOMEBODY FEELS THEY QUALIFIED IN THEY PERSPECTIVE ON THE SUBJECT AND WANNA THROW THEY 51 CENTS IN, THEN I WELCOME IT WITH OPEN ARMS. I'LL gO TO WHATEVA STREET AND/OR PRISON AND CHOP IT UP WITH WHOEVA(FROM THE OLDEST O.g'S TO THE YOUNgEST LIL LOAK) ABOUT THIS SUBJECT.

No, what 206 is askin has ZERO to do with SeriouslyThugs Siccness handle, and everything to do with you being obsessed with what other people think and why they dont understand why YOU think something is wrong.
LET ME gET THIS STRAIgHT CAUSE I HONESTLY BELIEVE YOU SAID THIS WRONg OR YOU INTERTWININ' THE TWO AND CONFUSIN' YOURSELF. SO YOU SAYIN' THAT 206 MADE HIS STATEMENT CAUSE:
#1 I'M "OBSESSED" WITH WHAT OTHA PEOPLE THINK

#X AND WHY THEY DON'T UNDA-STAND WHY I THINK SOMETHIN' IS WRONg?

PLEASE DON'T CONFUSE YOURSELF.

DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT I'M TRYIN' TO SAY?

Who is "yaw"? Are you referring to me? Homie, im the SAME gernaeration as YOU.

I'M TALKIN' BOUT ALL THE YOUNgSTAS ON THIS MESSAgE BOARD. IF YOU FEEL AS SUCH, WEAR THE SHOE.

Look, th3e fact that you are so adamant about someone's screen name, makes you a borderline stalker. Who gives a FLYING FUCK...what his screen name is? Its exactly that...A SCREE NAME ON AN INTERNET MESSAGE BOARD.
IT'S A SYMBOL OF WHERE HIS MIND IS AT AND WHAT HE WANTS TO BE LABELED AS. MAYBE I SHOULDN'T EVEN "MAKE A BIg DEAL OUT OF", BUT SINCE THE TOPIC WAS BROUgHT UP I BELIEVE IT COINCIDES WITH THE TOPIC MATTER. I DON'T gO FOLLOWIN' THIS MAN, DON'T gET IT TWISTED. I'M ADAMANT ABOUT THE TOPIC MATTER.

And please dump the god complex you seem to flex aroun here. Just becuase YOU dont believe in the word "thug", doesnt mean someone else doesnt. Get over yourself, please.
NO, YOU gET OVER YOURSELF gETTIN' OVER ME. I'M HARDLY AROUND THESE PARTS OR ONLINE FOR THAT MATTER. SO HOW YOU FIgURE I gOT THIS "gOD" COMPLEX THAT I'M FLEXXIN'? WHAT IS THIS "gOD" COMPLEX YOU SPEAK OF? IF N-E-THANg, I KNOW WHO I AM AND WHAT I STAND FOR. I'M CONFIDENT IN WHO I AM. DON'T gET IT TWISTED. IT'S LIKE IF YOU OWN A PITBULL AND YOU HEAR ALL THIS IgNORANCE FROM PEOPLE WHO DON'T OWN A PITBULL AND JUST SCARED OF ONE AND SPEAK IgNORANCE TO TRY TO INSTILL FEAR IN YOU, NOT KNOWIN' THAT YOU gOT BIT A BY A PITBULL AS A CHILD. WHAT IN THE FUK CAN THEY TELL YOU? NOT A MUTHA-FUCCIN' THANg.

YOUNg CUTTHROAT,
I'VE COMMENTED ON YOUR BLOg. NICE READ. NOT LONg AT ALL.

Apple bottom jeans, the Reeboks with the straps

Mainstream rap is like a Wal-Mart commercial

There is still good rap/hip-hop out there

I'm surprised you're surprised 206. MTV pushes sex on kids. America is glued to reality TV. We know more about Angelina Jolie than we do about George Bush, McCain, or Obama. Masturbating to porn is the new national pasttime for men 12 and up. We spend more time watching the E! Channel than we do reading books. Our 'news' is actually passed off as news. We are knee deep in the land of the imbeciles.

I have ceased to be surprised by anything America throws at me.

you should have posted the whole thing here, I didn't see it until now, a lot of truth in it though
I would've but it's too long. But for those that dont care about the length, here it is.

Let me start by saying that, its become clearly obvious that rap listeners are by far some of the dumbest individuals on earth. Clearly because they dont know HOW to listen to the music. When you listen to a rap CD, you should view it the same way as you would a TV show or a movie. Just like you wouldnt expect for Larenz Tate to really be doing the things that O-Dog did in Menace 2 Society, you shouldnt expect for Robert Green to do the murders and criminal acts that Spice 1 talks about doing.

Im seeing people act like theyre heartbroken when someone tells them that a rapper doesnt really live the criminal lifestyle that they rap about. Like with this Rick Ross situation, I still dont see what the big deal is about him being a corrections officer in the past. It's all a market, it's entertainment and nothing more. Rappers are playing a character that their record label made for them to play. You do have rappers that are out there really living that life...but thats only a select few. Then you have people that try to base their lives on whatever the rappers are talking about. Its like...the way that they carry themselves changes as a new artist comes out. When one CD plays out, this dude is lost on what to do until a new hot CD comes out.

You look on a lot of rap message boards for instance, there are so many "gangstas" that have never even seen the streets...but they think they know everything about the street life just because they listen to a rapper. Dudes are trying their best to act angry, hardcore, etc. for no reason, just because an MC talks about being crazy, psychotic, trigger happy, etc. Everytime you look up, theirs some kind of argument because some fool is trying to prove that he can be hard by talking sh*t to someone for no reason.

You also have the people that try to live the fast, expensive lifestyle that the rappers talk about. Dudes that are living in the projects, no job, driving a beat up car, etc. But are trying to wear the most expensive clothes, have 22 inch rims, wear excessive jewelry and so on...just because he saw it on BET in a video.

The rappers arent to blame for this, its 100% the listeners fault for taking this entertainment as real life. It's the weak individuals that make rap music look bad. Rappers arent telling people to rob, kill, sell drugs, etc. Most MC's talk about how they've had to do it to survive...and these lames take it as them saying that you have to do those things in order to be cool or to be considered real. Thats why you have so many wannabe gangsters running around right now, because they misinterperted what a rapper said, and theyre trying to act out what they heard on a CD. You also have them trying to be gangsters to impress these stupid ass black women that only want to fuck with a dude thats trying to emulate the BET lifestyle. Rap is entertainment, not real life. Im sick of every young person, especially teenagers trying to act like theyre the hardest gangsters on earth, when they have never stepped a foot into the street life.

Only thing they THINK they know is what they hear on a CD, and half the time...that rapper doesnt even know what he's talking about. Now, dont get me wrong, some of us rappers have done the things that we talk about. But at the same time, we're not telling the listener to do it. Even worse, are the ones who arent raised in that kind of environment or upbringing. But they try so hard to be a part of that lifestyle just so they can have something to rap about. Their parents be teachers, doctors, lawyers, law enforcement, etc. but they want to try to get into the street life just because they heard a rap CD.

NOW...of course these kind of things were happening before rap came along. But...when gangsta rap became a popular thing, thats when this got out of hand. So once again...rap is entertainment. If you listen to it, you should listen to it the same way as you would watch a movie or TV show.

If the two of you talked outside of this website I'm most positive you would have a different take on his name.

WELL, THE WORD ITSELF THROWS ME OFF, SO N-E-THANg WITH THAT WORD IN IT WITHOUT N-E QUOTES ON IT TELLS ME A LOT AND MOST LIKELY NOT TOOKEN SERIOUSLY. BUT I'M OPEN FOR DISCUSSION.

LOL. IT'S ETCHED IN MY HEART AND SOUL NOW? LOL. NOT AT ALL. IF N-E-THANg, IT'S THE OTHA WAY AROUND. BUT YEAH, YOU gOT ME ALL CONFUSED AND MISPERCEIVED. I'VE READ A FEW THANgS YOU DONE COMMENTED ON, BUT WITH YOUR MONIKER, IT'S DIFFICULT TO TAKE YOU "SERIOUS".
BUT I DON'T THINK YOU ARE WHAT YOU THINK I MAKE YOU OUT TO BE. I JUST PERCEIVE WHAT I SEE. WHY DON'T YOU ENLIgHTEN ME? WHY IS YOUR NAME LIKE THAT? WHY THAT?

ive explained it before in the GOM and the open forum. I was once "wrongly" banned from the site, so i spontaneously made this name to mock all the hardcore thugs and gangsters on this site. Guess what? it stuck.
In the end do i give 2 shits on what the name is? do i give a fuck what labels are? why do you? do you believe words hold weight or weight holds words? In the end everybody precieves life differently, and nothing can be expressed with words.
Have you ever found yourself trying to explain 20 different things but repeating the same sentence over n over? If not then you need to dig deeper inside yourself.
You live your life because that is all that you will end up living in the end. You will not change mine, especially not based on a random word that you seem to give weight.

EDIT: my msn name = [email protected]

look at you defending what a real gangsta is compared to a "petty" thug. You think i give 2 flying fucks about any of this shit? My existance revolves around something much deeper than any words or phrases or even a primitive concept to really care. The only one who is butt hurt is you man.
You talk about "it aint etched in my heart n soul" yet in the same paragraph you say i cant take you "seriously". And now here you are saying you dont give it weight, yet you compare and contrast the difference between a gangsta and a thug, not realizing that to me all words = the same thing.

i have given you my Msn email, so if you want to discuss this, feel free to add me.

AND A REAL gANgSTA AIN'T NO PETTY PUNK-ASS "THUg".
This is a pretty good example of the topic.

The glorification of "gangsters" or whatever you want to call them.

So you're saying a "gangster" is greater than a "thug"?
Gangsters nor thugs are generally good/constructive people in society yet you are saying a "gangster" is better than a "thug", WOW.

When You Awaken,
You are no longer a Buddhist or a Hindu or a Christian or a Jew or a Moslem.
You are love, you are truth.
And love and truth have no form.
They flow into forms.
But the word is never the same as that which the word connotes.
The word "God" is not God,
the word "Mother" is not Mother,
the word "Self" is not Self,
the word "moment" is not the moment.
All of these words are empty.
We're playing at the level of intellect,
feeding that thing in us that keeps wanting to understand.
And here we are, all the words we've said are gone.
Where did they go?
Do you remember them all?
Empty, empty.
If you heard them, you are at this moment empty.
You're ready for the next word.
And the word will go through you.
You don't have to know anything: that's what's so funny about it.
You get so simple.
You're empty.
You know nothing.
You simply are wisdom
not becoming anything,
just being everything.

i think its cyclical. music reflects society, society reflects music, repeat. so they are making each other consistently stupider as this continues.

it all went downhill after 2pac died, and im not saying that because i love 2pac. he is what turned rap into the business it is now i think, and if u look at the timeline, his death was the catalyst for the corporate takeover and manipulation of hip hop. he was worth around 5 million when he died and became worth like 50 mill after he died. what does that tell you
