I know the facts idiot, Crabtree "fell" for a reason. Nobody wanted him that picked between 1-9 that should tell you something but you're too stupid to understand.

Davis picked DHB because his speed will help our offense out in so many ways. Our running game is already there so once safeties start creeping to the line of scrimmage to help support against the run, DHB will be a threat to get behind the safety on play action fakes. J Lee Higgins is a number 3 receiver which means he usually lines up in the slot. With DHB out there they're either going to have to double him or leave him in one on one coverage. If you double that means the safety can't come up in the box to support the run. If you leave him in one on one coverage the Raiders are going to make you pay because he has the "speed" to go vertical and JaMarcus has the "arm" to get him the ball. So pick your poison and learn the game of football before you try to get with me!
cleavland didnt draft crabtree cause he rubbed em the wrong way and they felt he was a diva...DHB wasnt even a factor in college whats gonna change and make him a factor in the nfl where safetys and corners are faster, stronger, and smarter?your tellin us you were sitten at home watchin the draft hopin the raiders were gonna pick DHB over crabtree? u were like any other raider fan and was juiced crabtree was goin to the raiders till your pick came and shocked the shit outta everyone. first it was porter, then it was curry, then it was walker, then it was lelie, now its DHB thats gonna be a deep threat and put the raiders over the top? your fuckin silly and even more your jealous the niners got crabtree and the raiders didnt!

Who cares where the player was "projected" to go? The Raiders got the guy they wanted period. Doesn't matter where he was taken, they got the guy they wanted. And the critics talked bad about Houston because they drafted Bush instead of Williams and who's lauging now? Michael Crabtree equals this drafts Reggie Bush.
they coulda gained a pick or two and traded down to the bottom of the first round and possibly the second round and got the same pick they wanted.

Man you need to go back and check your history. I was hoping the Raiders would draft DHB and they did. I was not shocked that we passed on Crabtree I was happy we didn't draft that overrated as mf. What's so special about Crabtree man, seriously? This man wasn't even healthy and didn't run his 40 yard dash. And actually I was at my sons game during the draft checking my wife's blackberry to see who we drafted.

DHB wasn't a big as factor as Crabtree in college because they played in different offenses. DHB play in more of a pro style offense while Crabtree played in more a spread type offense with 4 WR's on the field.

DHB brings more of that big play potential to our offense because of his speed. Defenses are going to have to roll their coverage towards his side of the field just because he's fast and they don't want to get burned. If they don't, we'll see what happens. Should be pretty!!

all im going to say is DHB has to catch the ball to be a play maker but then again Russell Has to be able to throw it to him with out over throwing him i doubt either one will happen

speed does help when your running slant patterns or even well designed routes like a stop and go, it was one of the reasons Marvin Harrison was so good but this argument is so irrelevant right now

all i got to say now, is that who gives a fuck for now. lets wait until the regular season starts. lets wait until he gets something thrown to him. for now, its all just opinions and stats and shit. those don't mean shit on the field. hell theres plenty of GOATS that were undrafted free agents. who cares about all of this madness.

DHB will not have a better season then Crabtree. I guarantee it. Our team is better, and we have a better chance of being a better team, he opens up the field for us. If anyone says DHB will have more of an impact on the team then please, don't post hear anymore, stick to the open forum.

I don't see why everyone is so down on Al Davis man. No owner is perfect, these picks are all a crap shoot. You have to draft who ever you think could help your team the most and they must have saw something in DHB that they didn't see in those other receivers. So why take a risk and trade down when another team could snatch him? I think he's worth being picked at 7. He would have been gone before the 2nd round.

Crabtree would have sucked in our system because we don't run that many wide receiver screens (it seems like that's all he's good at). Jeremy Maclin is another Johnnie Lee Higgins (more of a slot receiver). DHB is a legit number 2 receiver that's going to command double teams and make that safety play honest football.

I wouldn't judge him on his numbers alone, you have to see how the Raiders offense looks now with him being out there. He's going to make everyone else better by making the safeties play deep. You have to think from a "strategical" standpoint, not just numbers bruh...

You'll see...

you dont see why? thats your main problem Tony....this isnt a siccness or "raider hater" thing.....Al Davis is and has been the laughing stock of the entire league going on a decade...this isnt new....your a new raider fan so i wouldnt expect you to know...this is a classic Al Davis pick that fails 9 out of 10 times (the first round is a crap shoot...but al davis butcher picks at a more often rate then any other franchise save detriot)......PERIOD

I don't care what people think about Al Davis! He's the owner of his team and he runs things his way. DHB shits on all of them other receivers. His size and speed alone makes him better off top and who says he can't catch and run routes? Give the kid time to develop and work on them "so-called" weaknesses if they are true. DHB got more heart than the rest of them cats. I think it was a "great" pick and we'll see what kind of impact he has on our offense.
