All receivers are bound to have some dropped passes. Even great receivers. It's all apart of the game. Murphy has 11 receptions for 172 yards in four games. Crabtree has 0 receptions for 0 yards in 0 games. If Crabtree can get more yards with the same ammount of receptions, so what? They're both rookies and have an NFL career ahead of them to gain a shit load of yards. This topic is crap until about four to five years from now, regarding any of these rookie WR's.

I know DHB only has 2 catches but he's averaging 18 yards per catch and 20 yards per run. Every time he touches the ball he picks up yards. The Raiders/Cable have to do a better job of getting the ball in his hands.

How about Johnny Knox compared to what Crabtree will be
How can you compare anybody to what Crabtree "will be?" Nobody knows what he will be.

And LOL @ comparing Murphy to Crabtree. Murphy is not the first round draft pick that the raiders picked ahead of Crabtree. If anything, compare Murphy to Josh Morgan - they are both 2nd-day picks. Other than being rookies, Murphy and Crabtree have no connection. DHB and Crabtree will always be tied together.

And some of you are getting a little too wet over Louis Murphy. He had a nice opening day and hasn't done anything since. It's too early to tell if he's a "steal of the draft" or not. He does look good, but settle down at least until he has another decent game.

so you think Crabtree is a better NFL player than Louis Murphy right now?

explain....
i don't think this thread is about Crabtree vs Murphy, rather then Crabtree vs DHB but right now Murphy does have more catches then crabtree and DHB. but @ the end its all going to be about Crabtree vs DHB.... if crabtree does come out to be better everyone is going to rip tony for it!!!!!

Louis Murphy is dope, trust that. If he was on a better team like Percy Harvin is on the Vikings, he'd be tearing it up like Percy Harvin. In my opinion anyway

^ Who cares about drops. I care about TD's, yards and receptions. DHB can't even get open enough to get a chance at dropping the fuckin ball...
The point is DHB isn't dropping passes. I seen him drop one pass and that was a slant against the Chargers. And how do you know DHB hasn't been getting open? Getting open takes time something that Russell is not getting. How about we try harder at getting the ball in his hands? We drafted him 7th overall and paid him big money but we're not getting him involved enough. He's averaging 18 yards per reception and 20 yards per carry.

Tom "Basic" Cable can do a better job of getting our playmakers involved in the offense since he (not Al Davis) is responsible for the playcalling.

Yea, the offense needs to change for sure. I'm still not very impressed with DHB or J. Russell. They need more time from the O-line, yes. But I wanna see SOMETHING to give me hope for them, and I've yet to see it almost half way through the season now...

I hear you bro, but the right play has to be called against the right defense for DHB to get open. Russell has misfired and there have been dropped passes too. It's a combination of things. Cable has to get demanding and get these things fixed or hit the road. Russell has to step his game up but DHB has to be given a chance and more involved in the offense. Move him around or line him up in the slot, bring him in motion, throw quick screen passes, etc.... Cable is doing a poor job. We have McFadden but we haven't run one play out of the wildcat formation this season. McFadden can throw and Michael Bush can throw it too. It's Cable lack of creativity that's hurting us on offense and defense.

Think these dropped passes have anything to do with Russell's completion percentage?
And Russell's lack of touch and accuracy is probably contributing to those dropped passes. Sometimes a big arm is a bad thing when you have no touch on your throws. He also puts the ball in the wrong spot, making it tougher to haul in the pass. The receiver should catch it regardless, but the QB is not helping at all in this case.
