The people on the Eidos forum are damn near causing a riot. The forums community manager had to come in and plead for them to tone it down and not vent in the way they were doing it. I guess it all has something to do with the pre order content, but I didn't stay long enough to read exactly what was going on.

They have been for years over the health regeneration and third person cover system. Then they got pissed off when a mod talked to them about playing the game but he obviously couldn't give too much information about the game. Picky bastards lol..they act like any little change from the first deus ex automatically means its going to ruin it..

^^^ I saw that as well. Aside from the graphics and detail, the third person stuff is what caught my eye. I never heard of the game or series until this year, but they should look at this as a series progression and gameplay enhancement.

But what's the deal on the DLC and the different versions?

So you've never played the first two? The first is amazing and the second isn't too bad but it was such a disappointment they actually fired the entire development team. As far as the series progression and storyline if anything they aren't adding anything new since everything you see in this game was already in the first, so it will rely completely on the gameplay..

As far as download content you can read on here:

WHAT ABOUT MULTIPLE ENDINGS & REPLAYABILITY?
Several endings are confirmed for Deus Ex: Human Revolution - each the climax of a substantial campaign. You won't be able to experience all the augmentations or weapons on the first play through - economy will come into play. Just like in real life - you can't have it all. You can play again and have new abilities, new weapons and these will affect your game experience, opening new areas. You can't have everything at once; some decisions will mean the forfeit of alternatives.

Basically the EX Mode will be the best we have ever seen. So I wouldn't see any reason for DLC, but its hard to say if they will release anything in the future..

I hoped that they would make this game more like the original Deus Ex was but seemingly it's going to be just a casual shooting game for the impatient console gamers. And I think it's low moral from the developers to release pre-order bonus content of a game that has not been reviewed yet, just to maximize the profit. Rather unpleasant for the pre-orderers if the game turns out be shit.

Thats exactly what I've been saying and thinking, its a bad move and makes them look like their just trying to turn a quick profit off of the series legacy. Theres been alot of games going that route lately (Duke Nukem, Wolfenstein, Red Faction, Castlevania, and pretty much any other game being revived) and they all have been disappointments. I'm sure it will be decent but it will be funny watching people being blown away by the game when the original is still better and offers more than what this game will.

If its worse than the second I will lose all hope in gaming, and so far it looks like their including alot of elements from it...besides the cool music..

Man I love that theme music..

I also heard the pre-orders are going cheap right now, and someone was lucky enough to pick up the Augmented Edition for around 40$ before the price was raised..Also you really should play the first game before picking this up Carea so you know what your getting into, theres also supposed to be references to the series..

I might do that. I'm not a pc gamer, but I think I may give it a try.
