There's positives and negatives to runnin. If you in a situation you know you gonna get caught, then I ma say some shit best believe I'll fuckin put it down exactly like it happened.

If some bullshit came up and I felt I could get away of course I'd be running, but that's almost like admittin some shit if u runnin away.

If some dude came up to you and just banked on your shit out of nowhere, and u fight back, and the cops come, and you run, how does that look on how guilty or innocent you are?

If it's a situation like that, yea ima be like "I was just standin here mindin my fuckin business when dude right here puts hands on me." If I was questionable as to whether or not I was legally in teh right, then I'd bounce. Otherwise if i knew I had a solid case, witnesses, etc.

Fuck it. I ain't sayin ima stand at the spot where it happened, waitin for the police, but if I do some shit in self defense or to protect my house, etc., I ain't tryin to hop some fences and shit runnin away and get in it with the puercas when I ain't got shit to run from.

Depends...I mean I've had shit denied because of it...one of which is a bomb threat so u know after 9/11 people spook about that shit.

And the whole "white is an advantage"...the face of employment opportunities and racial demography out here, in Cali, in the bay area, is very affirmative action/diversity minded. Many listings will pretty much say "minority candidates preferred" which is basically saying we need some people of color, white people need not apply.

If I was in, shit, Alabama, yea then I'd expect white to be an advantage, but it ain't that way out here. This is the bay. People ain't trippin on interracial shit, black businessmen, etc. Diversity is basically a fact of life. Where I'm from white is not really an advantage at all.

Talkin to my manager at my old work, as a matter of fact, they don't trip as much if black people got records than white people. they often view crime, a record, etc, as just a byproduct of poverty. Whereas if a white dude has a record, and you assume that more white people aren't poor, then that dude must be fucked in the head, etc.

But I'll admit my shit ain't nothin compared to yours, but in this job market, it's still affecting my chances.

The funny thing is my pops owned his business...and we went from basically poverty to doin cool, but it's still a gamble.
