d hall played on a team where there has been NO PASS RUSH for the last 3 seasons. not only that he played in bend dont break zone defense that wasnt particularly suited for his talents. now i admit dhall got burnt quite a few times, but there were alot he got blamed for where the safety was actually at fault. dhall is respected by wrs leaguewide. he runs his mouth a little much but thats due to his immaturity, hes only 24. hes not worth 8 to 9 mill a year though. NO CORNER IS. not clements, not samuel not bailey. none of them are. dude is right though. dhall will shine in a better defense.

I AGREE WITH MOST OF THIS POST EXCEPT FOR WHEN YOU SAY THAT ATL HAD NO PASS RUSH. NOW, THEY DIDN'T HAVE ONE OF THE TOP PASS RUSHES IN THE LEAGUE BUT THEY WEREN'T NO SLOUCHES WHEN THEY HAD PATRICK KEARNEY AND ROD COLEMAN..

the overall pass rush has been abysmal in atlanta last 3 seasons. kerney was on ir half of last year (06). same with coleman 06, 07. same with abraham. we have had no
CONSISTENT pass rush since 2004, maybe a good player here and there but not the stout line you think. kerney was garbage without brady smith manning the right side. go back and check if you like. i watch every game. d hall has been playing zone in a defense with one of the worst pass rushes in the league, and absolutely horrid safety play from brian scott/jimmy williams at fs.

dhall is a number 1 corner all day. only a messageboard gm would debate that.
I agree that he's a legitimate #1 corner, but if he were to come to the Raiders it would be like having 2 #1 corners.......although Nnamdi would be #1 and D'angelo would be #1 1/2 :classic:

Whoever said Hall was a shut-down corner is obviously a crackhead. That doesnt mean he is a bad corner or just merely decent. Like many have said he is a good quality number one who will probably be a number 2 along side Nmadi.

I feel like both he and Nmadi will thrive now since Nmadi will probably be getting more balls thrown his away and that Hall wont be defending the opposing teams best receiver.

Thats it plain and simple so all that unnecasary bickering and bitching going on in this thread has no point to it. Oh and I didnt read anything about anyone in this thread hyping up Hall like hes some great shutdown corner so why are people saying he is overrated? Sure hes been burnt a couple of times by some really good players but you have to realize that he played on a team that in the last 2 yrs had virtually no pass rush most of the time which equates to plenty of time for qbs and we know what that means.

HALL TRADE FALLING APART?
Posted by Michael David Smith on March 17, 2008, 7:17 p.m.

There are conflicting reports about the trade to send Atlanta Falcons cornerback DeAngelo Hall to the Oakland Raiders.

Over the weekend, the trade was widely reported to be all but signed, sealed and delivered. Today Steve Wyche of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that the trade is nearly final.

But Hall himself denied that the trade was close. And Adam Schefter reported today on NFL Network that the sides are not as optimistic that the deal will get done as they previously were.

“It doesn’t look like, right now, this trade is going to come to be,” Schefter reported today.

The Falcons and Raiders appear to have agreed in principle that the trade will consist of the Falcons sending second- and sixth-round picks to the Raiders, but the Raiders are only interested in consummating the trade if they’ve worked out a contract that will keep Hall happy, and right now no such contract is in place.

If a contract agreement is reached, Hall will be a Raider. If not, this trade isn’t happening.

^^Whos Dante?? Got Em!!
lol

:eyecross:

I've done that shit hella times calling him Dante by mistake since he came to the league. :ermm:

whats funny tho (a true ediot moment) was that it says Deangelo on the title and I still fucked up. I can spell Nnamdi Asomugha correctly every time but I can't remember Hall's first name is Deanglo. (even writing that I started to write dante :dead:)

Hall close to finalizing deal with Raiders
Two-time Pro Bowl CB to sign contract with Oakland Thursday

By STEVE WYCHE
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Published on: 03/18/08
Falcons two-time Pro Bowl cornerback DeAngelo Hall told the AJC Tuesday that he will finalize a contract with Oakland by Thursday morning and that a trade between Atlanta and the Raiders will be consummated shortly thereafter.

Hall said he is scheduled to fly to Oakland Wednesday to meet with team officials and sign a new contract.

"There is just some tweaking of the language that needs to be done, some minor details," Hall said of contract negotiations. "No deal breakers."

Atlanta will receive Oakland's second- and sixth-round picks in the April 26-27 NFL draft. The compensation will give the Falcons four selections in the first 48 picks of the draft — three in the second round. Atlanta holds the No. 3 overall pick along with the 36th and 48th picks.

Once the trade is completed, the Falcons would add the 34th overall selection currently held by Oakland.
