If Pacquiao gets knocked out? Why wouldn't you want to pay to see that? LOL that would be stunning, not for Oscar, but for Manny. Manny's always taken a punch pretty well...I've seen Marquez wobble him a few times, saw Morales do it, but Manny has a good chin. I'm not even thinking about the head shots from De La Hoya; I'm thinking about his work to the body. Also, and I may be in the minority, I see Manny knocking Oscar out before Oscar could do it. Should be an entertaining fight, though, and I honestly don't blame you for not wanting to shell out $50+, but you have to see this fight. Look for a sports bar or find someone who IS ordering it, and take some beer or something...LOL. You could watch it at my place, but I doubt you want to drive 10 hours to see it. LOL
Good lookin' on the invite... man you never know, I might end up ordering it. I may call a few cousins to see if them cheap mf's can chip in or somethin'....

I do want to see it though... I just don't want pay all that loot. I don't know man... I see Oscar knocking Manny out before I see Manny knocking Oscar out. Should be an entertaining fight though... I am finna go Christmas shopping tonight and if I have enough loot left over I'll order this fight my damn self.

Have a good weekend fellaz!!

Just get 4-5 people to chip in...10 bucks a person, and get some beer and food, and you're good!

Just don't forget to hold onto that money that they give you to pay your bill; I did a few years ago, when I ordered a like 2-3 fights a few movies in a month, and spent the money. Bill almost 300 bucks, and I forgot. LOL I almost was murdered by my wife.

Roach's Protest Over Oscar's Tape Causes Vegas Stir
By Mark Vester

Before every major fight these days - there is some controversy. Trainer Freddie Roach lodged a verbal protest with the Nevada Commission, claiming that Oscar De La Hoya illegally wraps his hands.

Roach said that when he trained De La Hoya for last May's fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr, he witnessed De La Hoya's cornerman Joe Chavez illegally wrap the fighter's hands by using a two-inch-wide brown medical tape to add cushion. Roach said the tape is too thick and causes an unfair advantage to his fighter, Manny Pacquiao.

"The tape between the fingers becomes like a piece of rope, and that can cause a cut for sure," Roach said to The Los Angeles Times. "Oscar's people were saying he's got away with it 20 times here and I said, 'Oscar's a prima donna, but he's not going to get away with it now.' Rules are rules. Oscar wraps illegally, and I'm going to do whatever it takes to win."

According to The Times, the commission's executive officer, Keith Kizer, along with chief inspector Tony Lazo and his assistant Alex Ybarra, gave De La Hoya's brown tape the green light, but also said that Chavez has to cut the tape in half to one inch when he rolls it up between the fingers. Chavez claims the tape helps protect Oscar's hands and does not make his punches harder.

Pacquiao weirded by weigh-in difference

MANILA, Philippines - Manny Pacquiao was sure he was at 146 pounds for the final weigh-in.

So it surprised him to see he came out four pounds lighter.

Pacquiao tipped the scales at 142 pounds, way off the weight he and his team were expecting.

"Yes, a little bit of a surprise. Seems the scale got calibrated," Freddie Roach told Manila-based journalists inside the press room on Friday after the weigh-in.

Shortly after the weigh-in, Pacquiao went back to his room and used a different scale. He came in at 145.5 pounds, the same weight he had in the morning after breakfast, according to Roach.

Pacquiao was amazed at the difference, disclosing the night before and just an hour before the official weigh-in that he both checked in at 146 pounds.

"I didn't do anything to reduce weight, so I don't know why I came in at 142?" Pacquiao said. "It's hard to be suspicious but as you can see, there's a difference between how I weighed out there and here."

Pacquiao said if there was a four-pound difference between his two "weigh-ins", it could be the same for de la Hoya. "So does that mean Oscar was at 149 pounds?"

A clause in the contracts signed by both Pacquiao and de la Hoya will have de la Hoya paying a $3-million penalty for every excess pound over 147 pounds.

Pacquiao said he didn't want to make a big deal out of the situation. "I don't want to make that an excuse for whatever happens."

Roach agreed.

"Maybe the scale … I'm not sure. But I'm not accusing anything (sic)," said Roach, who incidentally, also got a positive response from the Nevada State Athletic Commission later in the day, allowing the use of one-inch tape for the boxer's hands instead of two inches.

"But it really doesn't matter to me," he added. "The fight's on. The fight's here."
