Lotta people had issues, as it was, just with the song. The video just goes all out. Causing controversy already.

people on other sites had this to say about it:

"this whole idea of influencing "brothers" toward crime as a revolutionary act is passé. Not only is this video corny, but it promotes universal discord and acts that unconsciously promote the oppressors plan to display an image of black men as criminals. It does little to focus on the true reason for our oppression and even less to do anything about it. In short these dudes are nothing more that agent provocateurs. "

"I think dead prez realized on they're last album that they attracted the bohemian revolutionaries that already are educated and understand the situation we live in, but they fell short on getting the brothers in sisters in the street that needed to be aware of our own self destruction. a life of crime for most of these people isn't new. the problem is when we steal and kill each other in our communities we don't win.

crime is wrong but these corporations are out of control the way they suck the poor dry and get away with not paying taxes so we stay at the bottom of the barrell. the goverment isn't doing a damn thing about it. I think it's time we fight back somehow. using our brains and avoiding violence bought us the civil rights movement which I'm all for. but the trick in capitalism is how do you get poor people to stay to calm and not have a uprising that will spread outside THE HOOD. "

Where did you get dawn of the dead for white people? Is that something you made up just for the topic of this thread, or how you felt about the video?

Aside from the white people getting robbed in the beginning, I think the song is 10/10 (as for what people might want from a rap song). The lyrics, beat, and delivery go together like this video and racial motivation. Dead Prez speaks a lot of truth in *THEIR* songs, but I think this time *THEY* are just crying for attention and more record sales. I want to know how it is that an outspoken *GROUP* for African American civil rights has the audacity to create a video where *THEY* rob an innocent family of white people. Yes the pizza guy getting socked in the grill was funny as well as the "pigs" at the end, but the beginning is going to do more damage then anything. I find it very hard to believe that the owners of *THEIR* record label have anything to do with the creation or promotion of such material. Personally, I can do nothing but shake my head at the image this video projects of black people, and the ill feelings it is going to cause to whites who watch it. Is *THEIR* objective to make more white people racist then before? Basically what this songs says is that if you're black and poor, then you can always rob someone, commit fraud, or some other criminal activity to get paid. The worst part is, it says that if you do get a job and start making money the right way, you can always rob them too. The song is tight, the video is a complete waiste. I know there are a couple of people who are going to find a way to imply this video is "the truth" or "his perception" but there is nothing you can say to promote this as a positive image for anyone. This is not the record labels doing, this is not the doing of comsumers, this is the doing of one black man in his attempt to... shit, I have no idea.

After watching this video, does anyone have any questions as to why white people might be racist towards blacks? I'm not saying this justify's racism, I'm saying that there are people who are more sensetive to their surroundings and how they personify particularly black people they have encountered in their life. While one white guy might laugh at this video another might harbor feelings of resentment.

I have questions to those that watched this video:

1. What kind of impact do you think this will have on black youth who watch the video?

2. To a white kid who's father is racist, and who doesnt have many encounters with black people, after watching this video, what is he going to think?

As a person, I do not think this video/song is that bad, but I can only imagine how others will take it, and thats from what perspective I deliver this reply. I have another point to make about this but it requires certain responses from certain peoples that I know will come. Until then, have fun with this.

Which is why I made that comment. It's funny, two post later and you have yet to elaborate. Is there something you're afraid of or are you trying to be clever?

I don't know GURU, why don't you try to figure it out?

You speak on Dead Prez as if you listen to them, but clearly you dont and you know nothing about them.

So because I said his instead of their, that automatically means I don't listen to Dead Prez? Please, elaborate more. And for the record, I not a fan, I have heard a number of songs from different cd's. Now back to the question.

I have three minutes to reply...excuse my typo's

First off, that's right, you’re not a fan and you do not listen to their music enough to really even voice your opinion. Your thoughts are not good enough. It's like me talking to a brain surgeon and telling him what I think about his operation.

Second, how are you going to say they are "Crying for attention?" Have you LISTENED to any of their past music at all? Then you said they are trying to boost their record sales...man, this just shows your ignorance on the subject.

"I want to know how it is that an outspoken man for African American civil rights has the audacity to create a video where he robs an innocent family of white people. "

I want to know how is it that a black man can make a video rappin about gold chains, eating chicken and grabbin asses and this is expectable.

"Personally, I can do nothing but shake my head at the image this video projects of black people, and the ill feelings it is going to cause to whites who watch it."

All I can do is shake my head you............................more later. Out

No actually it's not like that. I listen to music and is Dead Prez not music? Do you tell doctors your opinion often? NO, so it's not the same. I have heard their songs, and I have heard their lyrics, what more do I need in order to voice my opinon on the matter? I thought Dead Prez was a person, I am sorry for hurting your feelings that way. I don't follow them, your right, but if I listen to what they are saying, they what more do I need?

HOW does it show my ignorance? Pull some of that Dead Prez cock from your mouth and speak up on it son. How are they crying out for attention? Well let me think. Most of the shit coming from Dead Prez is about how "his people" have been opressed. Then they make a video of themselves robbing innocent white people? That goes against everything "his people" are about. Think about it.

The same way porn is accepted, because it is non-violent. Are you seriously telling me that you don't see a difference between robbing innocent white people, showing methods for black youth to obtain wealth through crime is *any* different than wearing gold chains and shaking your ass? Like I said before, pull some of that Dead Prez cock from your mouth and open your eyes.

I would imagine so. The funny thing is, when I was watching this video, I was thinking to myself "I know this cat is a fan, I wonder if he will keep that Dead Prez cock lodged down his throat even after he see's this shit". Sure enough, your neck deep in it. I understand you feel the need to come on here correcting people on this shit but chill the fuck out. 2-0-Sixx, you are the biggest Dead Prez fan in the history of hip-hop, there is no one else. Your so hard on their nuts that not even a video like this would make you question the integrity of these people -- it *really* shows us whats really going on inside that puny brain. I know the kind of shit you support now.

Let me make some correction for your ass, I don't want you to cry.

no impact at all, its not norm. What they rap/do isn't what ppl are going to follow. doesnt' matter if they black.

Look at hiphop in general and see the impact it has on america's youth. What i'm saying is they are not known, and since others rappers in mainstream are not rapping about the same topics, its not going to have any impact at all. Maybe to those extreme leftists.

what his ignorant ass thought about before he viewed the video.

Maybe, but I just don't think the beginning of that video has any place in hip-hop.

1. Can you tell me why that white kid is ignorant? (I'm going to ask this until I get an answer.)

2. You don't think being surrounded by racism that a video of black people robbing a white family will have any effect? Are you that shallow man?

Nah you see, you don't have a clue about shit. I don't understand the video? Really. I suppose you're going to tell me that he feels that himself and his peers must result to such actions to get paid because of the life they are forced to live; because "the man" put them their, and they have no other choice but to take and eat by any means necessary -- unbelievable ground-breaking material. Now tell me how robbing that innocent white family has any kind of moral messasge..
