I don't know shit about the record business, but I've learned some things from this thread. To me, it just seems like if you have the music but don't release it, you're going to get a reputation among artists and fans as a company that does not release the music. But you say that the artists get paid for their work. It sounds very much like what Suge Knight did on Death Row with artists like Crooked I. Sure, they got paid, but their music never saw the light of day.
Seriously, I hope that game plan you are working on is some innovative shit because I would love to see you figure something out to where you can release the music to the fans and also see a nice profit. For me, without Siccness, 3/4 of the San Diego CDs I currently own I probably would not have. So, keep racking your brains so you can deliver that Cricet, Damu, and 2 Mitchy Slick albums to us and still make your money.
