oh i wasnt sure he'd be good, but now that you promised i feel real better. just like your 'frank gore is just finally getting healthy' statement a few weeks back, lol!
He was, thats why he ran for 200 yards on Seattle, and wasnt getting caught from behind, like he has in the earlier part of his career.

BTW. the 49ers needed a WR BAD, but a team with that many holes(aka not 1 player away from superbowl), has to take the best player available, till they get to the point, where they are 1 or 2 players away from a championship, and the stage that comes after that , is drafting players to groom, to take over someday(think new england patriots, or pittsburg's drafts), the 49ers at the time they took Crabtree where at the first stage of rebuilding, To be able to get the best player left on the board, and a the pos you need most, is a amazing stroke of luck, and if he wasnt worth the money, they wouldnt have paid it to him period. I love how everybody hates on football player for trying to secure there familys future, this isnt Baseball, or Basketball where you can have a career ending injury and still get paid, you get it, your FUCKED, its cut throat, your kicked to the curb like a worthless piece of trash, its just the reality of it, people act like these guys are getting bill gates money, and fuck, your lucky if you even play 10 years, they dont work till they drop dead like normal folks do.

supposedly the incentives to get crabtree's contract to full value is almost unreachable

one of them is he has to make the probowl 2 years in a row and has to reach some sort of stats.

another is he has to make the probowl, take 80% of the offensive snaps and the team has to make the playoffs as well all in that same year.

and the deal is 6 years unless he proforms good enough and reaches certain benchmarks where he would be able to void that 6th year.

basically this deal aint that good for him, especially given the time he took to sign it. he could of got this exact contract before training camp.

I wasnt that pumped when I woke up and found out crabtree signed. I was happy and still mad at the same time. Happy because we finally got a WR that would stretch the field and will make our running game easier and mad because I know dam well if we werent 3-1 (suppose to be undefeated), his ass would still hold out.
