I don't mind it at all. Just make some damned sense while you're doing so. Don't just talk shit just to be talking shit, trying to make me feel like an asshole for not touring Louisiana and Japan to help support a project with no distribution or major features or anything else. Understand that if someone is selling albums, and especially if their album is sold out/out of print....it's best to just leave it alone.

I could name names right now of albums that are OOP but still have a small demand...does that mean those people and labels should instantly re-press albums? No, it doesn't. Does that mean i should press up more of my own albums and give my project another run just to satisfy someone like you? No...it doesn't.

Last but not least, my dear friend...don't give up so easily. Remember that at the end of the day, it's just the Internet. And as a man who just blew off the perfect chance to vent and let loose, instead unleashing a series of HOLLAS....I feel like i'm qualified to remind you of that.

Happy Holidays. And may God bless you and yours. Hopefully Mom bought you that fluffy sweater you had your eyes on last Saturday.

OK, Let's try it this way. I want you to tell me and this forum what your response would be to Jay-Z, if he looked you straight in your eyes and said "You ain't done shit. You have never ran a record label. You have never sold an album. Everything you've ever done before doesn't even count." -- This is what you continue to do to me, after i have made it crystal clear that i have, in fact, done shows, pressed up and sold albums, and all the rest.

You do not show me any respect, and because of that, you do not deserve complete respect from me. You will get what respect i decide to give out, and you will accept it as that. This is not because I like disrespecting people who i am envious or jealous of, or because taking on superiors makes me feel somehow better about myself; this is because you as a person continually decide to downplay what I have done and accomplished in my short period doing music, and this is what results.

"But we have to do things the way we feel comfortable doing them."

If i might modify a line from the 40 Year Old Virgin: What you're comfortable doing, hasn't been working. You need to open your eyes and ears, and understand that people like me need to be listened to. Instead of doing like any other yahoo, why don't you drop me your phone number and challenge me to call you and elaborate further on these things? Why don't you challenge me to come to Starbucks or some other place, and lay out some of my plans on the table? Do you somehow believe that typed plans are intrinsically full of shit and not possible? That is the way you seem to think.

The reality is that, professionally, you are just like almost everyone else here: You do not strive to innovate or overhaul or revolutionize a damn thing; all you do is read your little books and get "game" from so-called "veterans", and then you keep on recycling the same shit over and over, each time around, still expecting different results. You hype and hype and hype an album, then when it does not deliver, you blame the fans or marketing or something else besides your lack of originality.

You may be eating, but you sure as fuck ain't feasting. Given your credentials and pioneer status, that much is inexcusable. Then again, given your poor attitude, you almost deserve it.

It is time for something new. And if you cannot think of anything new--and all signs point to this being the case, which by the way isn't something to be ashamed of--then you need to find people to do the next-level thinking for you. You need to stop thinking in terms of Respect or Stripes or all this other simple-minded shit, and start thinking in terms of practicality and potential.
Jay Z couldn't tell me that. The reason being is that when he comes to the NW the people will speak up for me, and inform him that I have in fact ran a label and helped push an entire region. I don't have to toot my own horn, because I have done enough work and promoted the product enough for the fans and listeners to speak for me.

These are all things that you haven't done, and you expect me to respect your opinion.

And as a matter of fact bro, I am feasting. I can honestly say that I have BOUGHT a house off of my music. I must be doing something right on the business end. And you never hear me ever blame anything on the fans. I am realistic about what I am doing, and if we come up short, then maybe we didn't do something right. There are no excuses to be made. If something goes wrong I can only look in the mirror, or look at the trends in the industry, or look at a lack of resources on my end. Not blame it on the fans.

You have some educated things to say, but to this point. YOU HAVEN'T DONE SHIT. Just the truth homie.

Friend, The amount of albums you've sold in your entire career is about equal to how many copies of HEY PAPI that Jay-Z sold in a 2 month period. You are a smear of shit on his toilet paper. That much is just real.

Nobody knows you. I could ask 100 of my closest friends, relatives and classmates, and the only ones who would know of you are people I mentioned you to. I don't know how much weight you've convinced yourself you have, but Tacoma, Bellingham, Olympia, Aberdeen..cities big and small....we don't know you.

Margo Myers has more name recognition than you. 800 people out of an area of 2,500,000 show up to a concert of yours, and you act like that's a manifestation of region-wide respect and your being on the cusp of success. You are a Portland mainstay, but outside of that, you have next to nothing.

You have always, and will always, be confined to the Portland area. You realized this last year when you claimed you were going to retire after your next album and let Clarence Unique take over (whatever happened to him?). You've sinced changed your mind--who the fuck knows why--and re-convinced yourself you actually have a shot.

Friend, the people need images. They need cool people. They need attitudes, charisma and cutting edge rhymes. And a 30-year-old face with a 1996 rap style, from a guy that looks more like your dad than your friend, is not going to cut it. Sure you're big in the 25-35 still-havent-accepted-reality demographic, but as for the rest of us...we reject you. You're the NW Underground's Ric Flair--too old to be trying to do it, your best days being behind you, but because you're such a relic and your rhymes are quaint, we tolerate you.

This is all truth. But because it comes from me, and not the people you work with who are terrified to say it for fear of losing their free VIP upgrades, you'll publically write it off. Sure, in your heart of hearts, you know its 100% realness...but you've got an image to uphold.

This is like Concentration Camps all over again. You preside over an area that isn't about shit but survival, your lack of originality necessitating such an environment for your continued success. You designate Capos to turn on their own people and keep them in line, and to make them feel like they are special and above all the other pigs and scoundrels.

You're the Soviet Union, falling apart from the inside because you refuse to reform and accept the reality that the people want and deserve more. You instead continue your despotic reign of terror, holding your death-grip on the area because you know that with the faintest hint of slippage, the heartless wolves and savage creatures that you have bred with your perpetuation of the current Aristocracy will devour you whole, and it will mean nothing to them to do it, as it is what they were trained for since their so-called "induction" into the "game": Destroy the weak, manipulate the pedestrian, neutralize the intellectuals.

This is where my generation comes in. You proclaim loudly that you know people who are out there "doing it" despite going to school, working 3 jobs, having 1 leg, et al. You lure people like me who are in college full-time, into jumping into the rap game prematurely, knowing that with our infantile state and lack of stability, you can easily crush us. This is sickening. "I got a house from this rap shit", the puppet master says. This is the best you can do? This is your great plan to get me and others to turn in our papers, and accept as an exchange lottery tickets? You cannot be real.

You fear for your money. You fear for your survival. You fear for just about everything. The only thing you never worry about, is originality, staying ahead of the curve, innovation, being on the cutting edge, or anything else that has to do with the future. As long as you can shape the argument to be about the
'RIGHT NOW'--e.g., if you have an idea, don't bother solidifying the funds and strategy ahead of time, "DO IT RIGHT NOW OR SHUT UP"--you stop originality before it starts. You bully people into rushing into things, you encourage them to abandon the long-term for the short term, and you reward them for putting the Cabal above the Individual.

Even now, the only thing one can expect out of you is more, "You don't sell albums" shit. More "I've done more shows than you'll ever do", "more fans than you'll ever have" nonsense. Same shit, different toilet. No analogies, no analysis.....nothing. The same ol' predictable Cool Nutz as always. I know you cannot but be the way you are. You are a survivor. And as long as you can survive for today, what's the use in fancy book-learning and future-planning?

i'd bet my house and my life savings that you wouldnt say that or any of the shit you talk to anybodys face. and i bet my life that if you said any 1 sentence of that shit you just said to nutz to my face youd get laid out. you sound like you just recycle the same "try to sound suprememly educated" shit out your mouth. and it all just sounds like diarhea. but just like we all proved however long ago, if you came to anyones town and tried to see them then you'd get "The Ken Hamlin treatment."

Friend, I'm X/X meeting Siccness folks. Every one I have met, there has not been a problem yet.

I don't know why you keep saying all this "we" stuff, and this "WHEN" and "IF" material, because I am out here making this meeting people stuff happen...and you're just sitting there speaking in hypotheticals...Lmao. Sounds familiar, doesn't it?

The lone danger here is that one day you'll see me in my pelly-pelly, and have a problem with me. With me though...you don't register. I don't know WHO you IS. And I'm 332% positive you don't know who I am either.

Merry Christmas, Lonnie (Isn't that a female name?)

This is all coming from the same cat that emailed me and BOUGHT all of the albums that we have put out, and apologized for disrespecting what we have been doing. You can try to convince yourself of whatever is that you would like to believe. But the difference is, is that we actually work at it, and I have acutally taken the risk to build a product that can a DOES sell. Your evaluations don't bother me at all, as you can have your opinion. But I know for a fact that we are one of the few parties that has and will continue to push the NW outside the NW. And people within the hip-hop world do actually know me. I know people that still don't know E-40, and he has sold MILLIONS of records. This is a work in progress, and everyday we are gaining fans. What are you gaining? More and more enemies.

Isn't this you right here that BOUGHT ALL of my 1996 style sounding rap albums? This purchase was made back in April. It's funny how feelings change.

Lol@apology, but all the rest is right. I've bought a lot of albums, and I enjoy every last one of them with, honestly, no exceptions.

But like I said: I enjoy yours because it is quaint. It's familiar. Its what I listen to when I just want to kick back and have an ambience, not for that Chino XL-type shit where you actually listen to the words. Your music is polished like that, which for most is good; but for me, I've always been about raw, unfinished-sounding shit, so you shouldn't take this paragraph as an insult, but more like feedback from that 3% niche I occupy.

That being said, If you have a log of our AIM chat though, I'd love to see it. I'm sure the people would get a kick out of how I was talking to you like a foreigner and using broken English, "I am want to buy an albums" and the like. It was good stuff.

You can try to convince yourself of whatever is that you would like to believe. Bees, Honey and Vinegar, sport. You're pumping out that Imitation Honey, and I'm coming with that Raw Vinegar, shoving it down your throat until you learn to enjoy it.

You are still talking about things that don't matter. The fact of the matter is, you ought to be doing better. This is a compound situation where it is 90% the fault of the people and 10% your own fault. -- Your issue is, you refuse to acknowledge this 10% when it comes from someone like me, and you completely ignore the 90% that I am trying to chip away at and minimize the effect of.

I'm not about the NW outside of the NW, which seems to be an ongoing theme with you and those like you: escape the haterism, and go where the grass may not be green but at least it aint dead. -- I am about the NW inside of the NW, which last I checked, isn't all that common. I am trying to change that, while you are busy taking pictures with Lil Jon. Fair enough.

As previously mentioned, this is all true. You even threw in extra shit that you didn't have to.

The point is, that you should be having 500+ people, average, showing up to your concerts.....in ABERDEEN. In Seattle, you deserve 1000 every single time. In Portland, you deserve 1500 or more on a weak night. Who or what is going to make this happen? An E-40 or B.G. feature is not. Nationwide distro is not. A Lottery ticket approach to the rap game is not. Touring the region on repeat and expecting different results is not.

ONLY an organized infrastructure is capable of delivering Pioneers like you the recognition and money you REALLY deserve. But as long as you remain skeptical and haterish towards people you percieve as power-hungry and overly ambitious...nothing is going to happen.

In your heart of hearts, you KNOW that an attitude like mine, coupled with someone who is actively out there running the websites and TV shows, is not only not a problem, but IS WHAT IS NEEDED. The issue here is putting the cart before the horse: you have been conditioned to believe this is bad, because you have seen lots of failure; I have been raised to believe this can be good or bad depending on if you can deliver, this being the result of having seen a lot of forward progress.

You make people not respect your opinion with your talk and actions.

You continue to make yourself look stupid.

Merry Christmas!!!!!!
Lol. I am not worried about all that. As i've said before, every last one of us is inherently different outside of the internet.

The day we meet, friend Nutz, either we won't talk and I will get stomped out, or we will have a lengthy conversation and you will become a beliver. Maybe a combination of both.

All i know is, once I get started...it isn't often people ask me to stop. I'm an idea machine, and if pressing buttons is the only thing that will motivate people (if nothing else, to compete with me with every ounce of energy they posess).....then buttons are exactly what I will press.

In the end, the fans only lose if someone gets put out of commission. Any other scenario, and this is nothing more than an elaborate pissing contest that will be seen by no more than a whopping 0.03% of the Actively Album-Buying NW Rap Community.

...If that.

I just deleted the other crap, and I am going to summarize like this:

95% of people here are about `Business', i.e., marketing, finance, supply/demand, and so on. I am interested in alternative medias, i.e., television, magazines, websites and so on.

The one is a front-end business (no idea what the technical name is): All the money is put up up-front, and then you see what happens afterwards. The other is based on the back-end: Lots of work is put in up front, and then you see what money it makes you in the end. -- The one is MONEY making you MONEY; the other is WORK making you MONEY.

I am a poor person with a limited income, and advocate vehemently for the Media approach. No other way makes sense. -- Others here are grown men with full-time jobs (or gigs) and lots of income, and they would rather let their money do the talking. Their prerogative.

The result is that these people trying to tell me about how important `Business' is, are going nowhere. Me trying to explain to these people how important alternative medias are, is going nowhere. The only people left over, are those yet to be recruited.

The main thing these people have to do to recruit, is remind people how much money they are throwing around. The main thing I need to do to recruit is convince the people that building a foundation is the most important thing of all.

As far as excitement goes, Money > Foundation. No way around it. The universal trump card.

So the only thing I have left to do, is to coax the Money-Business People into admitting that cash doesn't solve everything--especially since we cannot compete cash-wise with ANY other region--, and that it is time to roll up our sleeves and get to it.

They want ME to get to work first. I want US to get to work first. In the meantime, I am leaking out ideas (Song/Performance database, etc.), buying equipment and teaching myself the basics.

That about sums it up. No facts, no figures, no personal references. But if you don't understand my angle now without them, you never will. But know one thing: Just because you don't see me running around these forums asking for help and continually updating my progress, does not mean I am not out there learning new things.

Ok.. ok.. think about it like this for a second.. the 'others' that you speak of.. do you believe they started out with a lot of income..? do you believe they were born into comfort..?
These other folks that you speak of or on.. are grown men (and yes women, believe it or not) who started out teaching themselves the basics, buying equipment, traveling and networking.. theyve built themselves a solid foundation over a period of time- is there room for improvement? ALWAYS. Have they done it the way you believe they should have? .. obviously not.. but when youre up and coming and in the streets grinding, its trial and error.. its a learning PROCESS.. surely you understand that much..?

"They" dont want you to get to work FIRST.. they want you to get to work PERIOD. You may feel as if youre puttin' in work, you may feel like youre makin' moves but nobody has seen anything from you.

Does this make any sense..?

Any other scenario, and this is nothing more than an elaborate pissing contest that will be seen by no more than a whopping 0.03% of the Actively Album-Buying NW Rap Community.

...If that.
Like I said. I stand by everything that I said before. You apologized and bought the albums. That's all I have to say. THanks for your support and constant feedback.

There are lots of `broke' people here that WILL be listened to and reckoned with, or a lot of old-timers will miss the ship. Read of us and them below.

FYI, Limited Income is not Broke. Limited Income means I am not going to throw $700 at a Website designer and $40/hour at studio time, among other things. I prefer discounted items and services, even if it means waiting. That much is non-negotiable.

As previously stated: "Their prerogative." -- But they have no room at all to sit around and complain about "haters" and "lack of support" and all these other bullshit excuses, and then turn around and shoot down ideas just because they don't come from people who they deem 'bonified' or that have 'proven' themselves.

I don't really care how they got to how they got. All i care about is elevating them to the places they deserve to be. But because of jealousy and closed-mindedness and all the other things that come with coming up in a limited market like this, that will probably not happen. They are used to what they are used to, and it has worked for them. With that said, they should know that they will need to either of conform, or be left behind.

We who are capable of bringing them what they need--we being college-aged students w/o full-time jobs and with lots of free time, they being talented rappers with limited time and dreams of making it big--will not settle for some grandstanding rappers with bad attitudes that demand resumes at every turn. -- That is Nazi behavior. That is a "Show me Your Papers" society, and it will not be tolerated, save for by the weakest among us.

"They" dont want you to get to work FIRST.. they want you to get to work PERIOD. You may feel as if youre puttin' in work, you may feel like youre makin' moves but nobody has seen anything from you.
I have put out an album and a mixtape and done several shows (including one with Bullet), and this much is not open to discussion. To say I haven't done "Anything" is an insult, and one of the reasons I continue to be frank and forward, and not patient and understanding.

My work may not suffice for many, but that is not my fault that by some fucked-up logic, selling albums in Aberdeen is not as `important' or `worthwhile' as selling them in Seattle or Portland. Come to Aberdeen and sell a few hundred albums, and then tell me why selling in Big Cities qualifies as "putting in work", but what my group did doesn't.

Does this make any sense..?
Surely it does. But people seem to forget that in the Summer of 2002, I was a high school drop-out; in the Summer of 2003, I had my first year of College under my belt; in the Winter of 2004, I had my 2-year college degree; and now, soon to be Winter 2006, I am returning from Mexico and about to continue at University.

HS Drop-out to University Student...that is progress. That is not working and moving up from 7.35 to 8.15, acting holier than thou. In the process, I've dropped 2 projects and gotten my feet wet. That is plenty.

Friend, I do not remember any kind of apology, and I am the King of Memories around these parts, as has been demonstrated numerous times. (Speaking of such, remember that one time you promised me studio time, and then reneged?)

The only thing I might have said was, "I should have gotten these albums earlier", or something to that effect. Far from the "I'm sorry for not buying your albums" that you are trying to invoke images of right now.

I have no time tonight to quote, copy, cut and paste. You can say what you want about me, about the people I work with, about what I do or dont do but I've got bills to pay and kids to support so gotta go finish up this interview, send off the ads for the next issue, hustle another 100 CD's to the shop out here, collect this money and transfer funds. I'm sure someone up in here has time to debate with you... but not I.
