how ya'll know she was guilty? I've google searched "chloroform" and "how to break necks" a million times. Doesn't prove nothin
great post. not that i think she's innocent but i don't know. and neither does anybody. thats why we have that little prosecutorial logistical nightmare known as BURDEN OF PROOF.

thank god our justice system isnt run like these clowns want to. we have a bunch of shawshank redemption wardens in this bitch. dont be mad at casey be mad at the prosecution for not having a leg to stand on and not presenting any proof whatsoever that a murder even occurred. you want convictions based on popular opinion move to a faggot ass country that convicts you based on gut feelings instead of facts and evidence. the only thing they even half ass proved was motive. thats not enough in america. take your ass to north korea or syria if thats the type of justice system you prefer.

it sounds like the DA made himself look like a jerk and messed up, which is sad . murdering a kid is the most horrible thing ever
I don't think she killed her kid on purpose. I think the beezy couldn't get a sitter, read up about choloroform, gave cayley choloform. Went out to the club. Came home, kid was unresponsive so instead of calling 911 she made it look like she got kidnapped and killed. But was that proven without a reasonable doubt in court? Nope not even close. Jury made the right call.

not to make light of anything, but I find it hilarious that that guy got 6 days in jail for flipping off the prosecution last week and Casey got away with murder.

exactly, beyond a reasonable doubt can be tuff, but if we dont follow it, alot of innocent people will and have fried, a million murderers gone free, is better then one innocent fucked off forever.

Bullshit...they had enough against that broad to put her ass away for a looooong time. This case reminded me of the Scott Peterson shit...but they had more on Casey. They had lie after lie, they had a mother partying for a month before she reported her child missing, they had duct tape on the skull, they had the smell of dead ass in the trunk...what more do you need?

And once the defense said they were going to prove their claim, the burden of proof was shifted to the defense. And guess what...they didn't PROVE shit. The judge was even pissed off because during the entire trial, the defense didn't even ATTEMPT to prove the child drowned. They only thing they tried to prove was that Casey was brought up to lie.

She's a piece of shit, that did, or wasnt paying attention that lead to something terrible to happen with her daughter. But, I watched a lot of the trial, and I was not convinced that she killed that little girl. She's screwed up in the head, lied to police covering shit up, and, I think, is somehow responsible for her dying...But the line of possible events the defense eventually came up with made sense, and IMO, they presented enough to raise reasonable doubt...

What they were missing was Casey's DNA evidence on anything to link her to the crime scene

remember Casey had put the police on a 30 day hunt for a Nanny that never existed, which provided Casey enough time to dispose of all evidence.

they got her for lying but not enough evidence to put what would seem like a obvious story together, with DNA proof.

I agree Casey should've been found guilty, and if this was to happend to anyone else, they would've been
