that dell that got listed is not too bad, but that 1 gig of ram is gonna hurt you. vista will suck balls (more than it already does) on only 1 gig of ram, and if you wanna upgrade, you are gonna have to buy 2 1 gig sticks, because both slots are filled up with 512 sticks. if that machine were to come with the 1 gig on just 1 stick it would be a much better deal.

edit: oh yeah and integrated video sucks ass, and im not sure on a dell machine if you would be able to upgrade.

The machine TONY listed was for either XP OR Vista. XP runs superbly on 1GB...while Vista runs suffieciently.

You can upgrade, but itll cost ya $80 to do so.

Unless youre gaming or video editing, you do NOT need a super graphics card, as onboard video will suffice.

It runs superbly....as far as XP goes.

1GB is the minimal standard for Vista, just like 512MB was for XP and 256MB was for 2000. THey will run fine on those specs, but to enhance perfoemance, you should double up on your RAM.

I run my office on 512MB for XP and shit runs great...for XP.

Build one similar to the $459 dollar I posted, I said for under $600 it'll be very hard to beat Dell.
Of course it would, but its irrelevent becuase that $449 system has NO office, NO internet security and NO burning software, and no keyboard/mouse.

My point was, when you get everything down its, ITS A BETTER PRICE.

Im not gonna aruge about it, it is what it is.

My point was, if you want to spend less than $600 or $500, you can't beat Dell. And it does have kb+mouse, just didn't list it.

I would never buy a prebuilt computer because there will never be a computer where every little detail I wanted was fulfilled. I am very picky, otherwise, I would buy a Dell for a low-midrange system.

why would you need to cool your computer like that? overclocking just voids the warranty so fuck it.
Why not overclock it? Do you really think that you are going to get anything back if your processor goes out? I overclock mine from 3.4GHZ to 3.8GHZ and I haven't had any problems with it in almost 2 years and I am sure that any warranty would be up by now anyways.

im talking if your shit is fresh out the box.. and you decide to overclock it right out the box.

my shits working fine without overclocking it. I dont do enough gaming or other shit to need it really. Aside from that im gonna build another computer specifically for more core demanding tasks.
