I built my computer and it isn't too bad but if you don't know to much you should just get a barebone. Check out TIGERDIRECT.COM they have some good sales and might even be cheaper than newegg. I used both to get parts for mine. I spent around $1200 but that includes the 20" Monitor and it is a fast computer. If you need something cheap than just look around on those sites also an AMD cpu is a lot cheaper than an Intel. I'm sure that the people on this site can help you out if you have any questions.

I really don't like dells because it seems like they start to run like shit after a while but they are nice when they are new.

And then you have to pay shipping and wait 3 weeks for them to build it.

Not to mention, if you dont know shit about computers, you have to buy parts through THEM. Funny thing is, their shit wont break down for...*drum please*...after a YEAR, when your warranty runs dry.

Yes, FUCK Dell. I ended up paying for a Laptop through them that cost $400 MORE than the EXACT same spec'd out laptop (Satellite) at Office Depot.

Dell is for first timers and people who dont know how to work with computer components...which is YOU or I. I guess for someone like Lamberto, it would work. I was merely looking at it from MY perspective.

I can build that SAME machine for the SAME price, get all the software free and have it down in 3 hours....can Dell do that for me?

Would you buy this machine? If its such an awesome deal, why isnt everyone buying from Dell? Shouldnt they bascially run places that sell components out of business? There must be SOME reason that Dell has monopolized the computer industry.

He's just one nerd - out of billions.

But I agree, it isn't too difficult of a project if you have a little knowledge about computers.

Free shipping and this I believe are prebuilt. Lemme see you price out a simarly spec'd computer with all the peripherals, 19" ws monitor, and LEGIT Windows. And you don't have to buy their parts for repair.

Dell computers today are good! Only thing with buying from dell is their intrest rates. Pay in full! You can also go to your local Wal-Mart and purchase a DELL PC. They now sell them there.
