The artist or label won`t see that full 10. It`s more between 5 an 8 per unit. But to put it in perspective, Uthanizm sold over 30k an the LBI sold over 110k last time I saw the SoundScans. You do the math. An that album got horrible promotion! Imagine the promo Lynch gets with Tech.........

I don't see why Lynch could never sign with a major after Black Market when he released LBI? And I also wondered why he did Siccmade through IDN.....a no name distribution company? He should have released his own solo joints on a major and released his other artists on Siccmade/IDN.

I can`t answer that question honestly. After I worked that deal for Lynch and Madesicc, we parted ways and I joined forces with Cway. I would have to see the SoundScans to say if it was worth it for Select-O. As of now, I don`t know.

But I can say this, all they would need to push collectively is 30k units between all projects to be in the black on that deal. I know there was decent promotion for the RipGut Collection, and if there was promo slightly close to that for the other projects, 30k shouldn`t be that hard of a number to reach between projects.

The album has been finished.... he has already stated this before. As far as tweaking it a little and changing it up is another thing. I said that Universal wanted some of the content changed before their fingerprints were all over it... and this is one of the reasons Lynch has been so hesitant to do a major deal.....he never liked people fucking with his creativity, he doesn't want anything in his name to be censored and so forth.


Also you are mistaking if you don't think the Majors don't work like this anymore.

Well if they spent marketing dollars they would need to sell even more albums to recoup that money.....but good looking out on the info.

i am doubting they recouped all their money.

If Lynch wants to get on here and speak on the subject and post those details, that`s up to him. I don`t want to get into too much detail about his business matters. All I wanted to simply state was that his asking price was higher than that. For argument sake, it could show why either any deal never happened because maybe they thought he was asking too much, or it could help to shed light on his value in the game.

I know I pulled a politician move, but I hope it helped some anyway.
