this is great though, lynch will finally be able to work with talented people, it will force him to step his game up
I really really hope that is true. Though I think you might be right considering how pretty much every good "new" Lynch song has been him featured on another artists track (i.e. Welcome 2 My World, Territory, etc.)

Madesicc has way too many followers and people that just bring Lynch down in my opinion. I know he doesn't hang with the same crowd as he did during the Season era, but shit, he needs to cut some of those guys out of Madesicc.

I am just hoping to god that they make good beats on this album because I know it is possible for Lynch to come with the lyrics.

And as "bad" as it is that he is going to make all new tracks for DAAM, now it looks like we are going to get both DAAM's (hopefully in 5 years).

Lynch has been shopping DAAM around for awhile now looking for a buyer. Supposedly he sold the rights for the album for around $100,000.00

Last I heard was Universal wasn't too thrilled with alot of the content in the album and was worried about investing in it... I guess their stance has changed on it. I am guessing some of the shit is getting pulled from the album...

Reminds me of the Black Market/Priority and Tommyboy issues all over again.

100,000 for a whole Lynch album. They'll make they're money easily back. Lynch's following has definately dropped but watch 'em come outta the woodwork when this DAAM drops.

you so sure about that guy?

To me, thats a fucking risky investment. How many units did LBI sell? Lynch has fucked off alot of fans. Sure, he has his hardcore fan base that would buy a record that he just farted on the whole way through, but he has become irrelavant to most people.

I cant see him selling more than 30-40K. Maybe he proves me wrong. . Most of my friends that used to bump his shit daily dont even give a fuck about him anymore, and the shit I do play for them, they aint feeling.

Thats a damn lie.

If he sold the rights of the album to a major label then that means he wouldnt be putting it out especially under no strange music. selling teh rights means you no longer own the masters or make anymore money from it.

He said in his own words the album isnt finished so how you gonna sdell something thats not complete also major labels dont work like that no more. They not worried about a album they wanna own the artists

Let's say he sold 30K at 10.00 a pop. That's 300,000 alone from album sales. Sounds like a decent investment to me.

I'm saying if Strange/Universal bought the album for 100,000 flat, they would make their money back and then some off this album. Like I said, Lynch's fan base has dropped from what it looks like but when this album drops, BAM!, back on the bandwagon. Lynch would not be smart to sell the album to anyone and put it out through Madesicc and collect all of the revenue, not get a one time 100,000 signing bonus.

Don`t know where you got your info from folks, but a hunid racks wasn`t even close to what he was shopping for. If it was, that deal would have been signed long ago. Any distro company would have jumped on it.

The last deal I worked for Lynch with Select-O that released COS, The Fixxx, Hood Ryders DVD, and the RipGut Collection was for more than a hunid racks.
