Fuck M-1 Global. They'll only sign Fedor to the UFC if the UFC co-promotes M-1 fights? Fuck those Russian cock suckers.

As it is now, Fedor needs the UFC a whole lot more than the UFC needs him. If I was Dana White I'd say "Remember what I offered you last year? Yeah, cut that number in half, that's what I'm offering this year. Next year will be less."

Fedor is getting old and the other promotions are dieing. If Fedor wants to keep fighting, and keep getting paid for it he needs to sort M-1 out. They're fucking him over.

-Edit-

Saw this and figured I'd post it:
In regards to strict terms of UFC contract, we asked Aleksander Emelianenko to comment:

"You can deal with UFC, I know that they have flexible contract system. All these talks about "strict" contract terms with signing with UFC, come ONLY from Vadim Finkelstein, who wants to push his owns business projects through Fedor's fights"
-- Aleksander Emelianenko in his interview for Sports.ru.

I guess Vadim Finkelstein = M1

UPDATE!!

straight from LA times again

Sources: Fedor-UFC talks 'intense' but will likely drag past Friday
11:21 AM, July 29, 2009

The chief operating officer of Fedor Emelianenko's promotional company, M-1 Global, confirmed to The Times in an e-mail early this morning that the heavyweight, considered the world's best mixed martial arts fighter, is engaged in "intense negotiations with the UFC."

Joost Raimond told The Times that contract talks "are ongoing, but we have not reached any kind of agreement at this time."

On Tuesday, another source close to Emelianenko's camp told The Times it made sense that the "very civil" talks between Emelianenko, his people and the UFC would be the subject of a news conference call the UFC has scheduled for Friday. A UFC official did not dismiss the suggestion that the two events were linked.

However, the original source told The Times today it would now be surprising for UFC and Fedor to have a deal signed by Friday. The source requested anonymity because authorization hasn't been given to speak publicly on the issue.

The sides have been separated in the past by issues including the number of fights in the contract (the UFC wants six) and they have to address Emelianenko's business connection to M-1. No deal-breaking event has happened since yesterday, the source said, but negotiations are complex and will likely require "more than 48 hours."

A UFC spokeswoman said Tuesday that the special Friday news conference would "not be [UFC President] Dana [White] talking about UFC 101," scheduled for next month in Philadelphia, but she provided no more information about the subject of the call.

The Times' attempts to reach White and company owner Lorenzo Fertitta since Tuesday have been unsuccessful.

The Sun website in England is reporting that the UFC is planning to announce a venture that will allow ESPN to broadcast UFC events in England.

The UFC is also reportedly mulling how to handle the contracts of other fighters who were part of Affliction Entertainment, which canceled its Saturday show starring Emelianenko (30-1) at Anaheim's Honda Center after his scheduled opponent, Josh Barnett, tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs.

Emelianenko is scheduled to conduct a news conference today in Anaheim to discuss his post-Affliction plans, M-1 has announced. He has long maintained that he wants to fight the best possible opponent, and the UFC offers that person in its heavyweight champ, Brock Lesnar.

But Emelianenko could leave the U.S. as early as today, the source said.

Fedor Emelianenko to "headline" EA Sports videogame, currently "negotiating" with UFC

Fedor Emelianenko and M-1 officials today held a coinciding press conference and media call to discuss the latest news with the Russian fighter.

Unfortunately, no definitive news was released regarding the fighter's future, other than that Emelianenko and his manager, M-1 boss Vadim Finkelchtein, are currently in negotiations with the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Officials, though, did announce that Emelianenko will "headline" EA Sports' new videogame, EA Sports MMA, which will compete with THQ's and the UFC's hugely successful "UFC Undisputed" videogame franchise that debuted with a 2009 edition earlier this year. "EA Sports MMA" will also feature Gegard Mousasi and Renato "Babalu" Sobral, officials announced.

Emelianenko, a longtime PRIDE champion who's widely regarded as the sport's No. 1 ranked heavyweight, was slated to fight Josh Barnett on Aug. 1. However, after the California State Athletic Commission denied Barnett a license due to a failed drug test (anabolic steroid), Affliction briefly sought a replacement but first canceled its "Trilogy" event and then announced it would cease promotional operations altogether and return to the UFC as a sponsor.

Emelianenko had one fight remaining on his Affliction deal. It's unclear what that deal means or could mean for the fighter.

"We're exploring all options at the time, legally with regard to Affliction and what we perceived took place," Steve Bash, M-1 USA vice president of legal affairs, said. "I can promise you and promise Affliction, if something was done wrong, someone will be held responsible."

In the mean time, Finkelchtein confirmed that in addition to the UFC, Emelianenko is negotiating with multiple organizations, including Strikeforce.

Emelianenko and the UFC have negotiated in the past, but no deal ever came to fruition. One sticking point has been that Finkelchtein wants any UFC event featuring Emelianenko to be co-promoted with the M-1 brand. Finkelchtein said that remains one of their demands.

As we mentioned earlier today, the L.A. Times recently reported that the UFC and Emelianenko were finalizing a deal that would be announced at a UFC media call scheduled for Friday. Although a source close to M-1 told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) the report was "untrue," we've since updated the story to include information from a source close to the UFC who said the organization is devoting all its resources to getting a deal done with Emelianenko by Friday. It's not known if the UFC would be willing to co-promote with M-1, which is something UFC president Dana White has often said he's unwilling to do.

White has also stated that any fighters who sign on with the EA Sports videogame would be barred from competing in the UFC.

Again, it's unknown if an exception would be made for Emelianenko.

M-1: No Fedor in UFC Without Co-Promoting

IT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Fedor Emelianenko, the top-ranked heavyweight in the world, will not fight in the UFC unless Dana White and company agree to co-promote with Emelianenko’s partners at M-1 Global.

M-1 Global CEO Vadim Finkelstein made that clear Wednesday at a news conference. Finkelstein confirmed that M-1 Global had negotiated with UFC officials as recently as Tuesday.

“We are open,” Finkelstein said. “We do want to work with the UFC. We do want to work with other promotions.”

Finkelstein said the UFC made a new offer to Emelianenko, and M-1 Global made a counteroffer. However, Finkelstein said Emeliananko would not proceed without a co-promotional effort between M-1 and the UFC where they shared expenses and profits.

Finkelstein also communicated that the UFC's representation in the media of his negotiations with the organization has not been accurate. He said Emelianenko has been made completely aware of any deals, past and present, that have been offered.

“I have 100 percent faith in Vadim and M-1 Global," Emelianenko said.

M-1 Global also pressured the UFC by saying they are in talks with other shows, including Strikeforce.

“We're not going to wait,” Finkelstein said. “We have to move forward. It might be that very soon we will be able to announce a deal with another promotion. I'm going to tell you that we're only going to work under co-promotion conditions.”

Wrong. UFC will continue to get bigger and bigger, like they have, without Fedor. The majority of casual fans do not know who Fedor is. It's the hardcore fans that are knocking at Dana's door begging him to get a deal done with Fedor. Where is Fedor going to go? Strikeforce? Dream? Fedor vs Canseco? Fedor vs Hong man choi 2? Vadim needs to quit being a greedy russian faggot and let Fedor fight in the UFC without all his bullshit.

This shit reminds me why boxing is fucked up. Props to Dana for not giving up tho.

i dont agree, UFC is at its peak and yes Pride was better when it existed. UFC's heavyweight division has never been that good. Dont get me wrong i like a lot of fighters in UFC, i just dont like people like Dana White that feel as if only his company can exist in the world of MMA

UFC is definitely not at its peak. They just broadcasted in Mexico for the first time ever and over 25 million people tuned in to watch. They still have more states and countries to get it sanctioned in. More and more MMA can be seen on the major mainstream sports channels and sports recaps on news now. ESPN's executive vice president John Skipper attended his first UFC event at 100 and liked what he saw. MMA is just getting bigger and bigger!
