Jones: Lebedev Will Need Facial Surgery After Rematch

Former champion Guillermo Jones (39-3-2, 31KOs) has promised to badly punish Denis Lebedev (25-2) when they collide for a second time for the WBA cruiserweight title on April 12th in Moscow, Russia.
When they fought in May of last year, Jones busted up Lebedev and disfigured his entire face. He finished the Russian boxer off in the eleventh round. But then Jones tested positive for a banned substance. The result stayed the same, but the title was returned to Lebedev and the WBA ordered a rematch.
Lebedev spent some time in Los Angeles, learning new things by training with Freddie Roach at the Wild Card Gym in Hollywood.
"Lebedev can train with Roach or*with Rocky Balboa. I learned to fight*when I was*120 pounds and*in the streets of Columbus," said Jones.
Jones said the fight will be called "facial surgery part 2."

The Nevada State Athletic Commission will handle the advanced drug testing for the April 12 rematch between Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley.
Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley will undergo additional, more advanced drug testing, but it won't be handled by either VADA or USADA. Instead, the Nevada State Athletic Commission will be in charge of the testing.
Nevada will work with WADA-approved collectors to run random pre-fight drug tests for both Pacquiao (55-5-2, 38 KO) and Bradley (31-0, 12 KO), who first met in June 2012. That was a controversial fight, with Bradley winning via highly disputed decision in one of the big upsets in recent memory, and arguably the most discussed "black eye for boxing" moment in over a decade.

What Timothy Bradley and his family went through, on a night that should have been the happiest time on their lives became and instant nightmare. Once the decision was read may fans felt Manny Pacquiao won by a large margin. Instead of just blaming the judges they took their frustrations out on a guy who's in the ring fighting and has nothing to do with what the judges just scored. HBO commentators bashed Bradley on the air, making it seem more like they were just rooting and cheering for one fighter over another, than reporting the facts.
Bradley house was egged, his kids were harassed and teased, death treats were coming at night and day, all because he won a fight. Bradley is an American, a true blue collar guy, with a strong family background, who was being hounded and treated liked like a modern criminal. When the fighter from the other country got all the praise, the media felt his pain and interviewed him as if he was still champion, while Bradley was treated like a thief in the night.
If there is anyone who deserves justice in this fight it's Timothy Bradley. He was wronged and the world needs to accept him as world champion, onve he defeats Pacquiao...again.

Was Margarito punished by boxing for the handwrapping controversy?

Antonio Margarito moved his way up in the rankings without being any serious opponents. Once defeated Kermit Cintron the world thought he could be the one to dethrone Floyd Mayweather. After a sound defeat by Paul Williams, many felt they may have jumped the gun on Margarito. Williams was winning the fight easy in the first six rounds, then something happened. Margarito punches started to take an effect on Williams in a weird way.
One of Paul Williams aides said "In the second half of that fight, he was moving Paul back, out the blue like that, that don't make sense, you ain't going to get that strong as the fight went on, we thought he might have been on something. Then once the Shane Mosley thing came out, we said okay that's what it was, because Paul don't run from nobody he would have mopped the floor with him."
The sport was embarrassed and felt this black eye could hurt the integrity of the commission. A suspension wouldn't and couldn't be the total punishment, for this crime Margarito had to be dealt with in a boxing ring. In his fight against Manny Pacquiao, it seemed as if the tape on Pacquiao hands were indeed heavy but no one cared, he was there to be punished before thousands and millions watching for his crimes.
In a rematch between Miguel Cotto and Margarito, there was more talk about him using those wraps in that fight more than the one he did try to use them in, and they had no proof, that he did but it was okay for HBO to speculate it as fact, and pass judgement, but when it came to the fact of maybe there was a chance Pacquiao could be dirty, they couldn't speculate on that notion. Cotto defeated Margarito would could barley see out of his right eye, which one doctor said no way he was going to let the fight go on after viewing the eye, but thanks to greedy NYSAC they found a way to make the fight happen anyhow. The results a one-sided slaughter that shouldn't have never been made.
Congratulations you have just made an example of a fighter, who should have never been allowed to put on gloves again for the crime he committed.

He claims he has no problem fighting any fighter in the world yet he won't fight Hopkins. And the same shit he is saying can be applied to Floyd (fighting the best) and people that are overhyped (Amire Khan.)

How can you not bring up Stevenson when he demolished Dawson and Cloud? And as far as Kovalev is concerned he just called him out today. He said he would fight him but said the fight has to be worth more than a million and I agree. He had the ko of the year and was named one of the boxers of the year, so I can see him and Kovalev being compensated what they should be.
Stevenson just signed with AL Haymen, I don't know how thats gonna work with him signing a 3 fight deal with HBO
