And you know, although Einstein rejected a personal God who gives reward and punishment, he very much saw a great intelligence behind the workings of the universe. Ergo, he doesn't qualify as a full on atheist.
Einstein was an atheist, 110%. He did not see a great intelligence behind the workings of the universe - he saw a sophistication and elegance which he found to be inspirational. He never made mention of any God, nor an intelligence behind the workings of the universe. Einstein was most definitely not religios, nor was he agnostic, he was an athiest through and through.

Is that so, are you 110% positively sure that he had no notions in the deepest parts of his mind that the idea of an ID was possible? I hate when people try to imagine what one person would have done after they have passed away. Like rappers saying they know how Tupac would have like the rap today, it's bullshit.

Einstein on his view of a PERSONAL GOD

"I cannot conceive of a personal God who would directly influence the actions of individuals, or would directly sit in judgment on creatures of his own creation. I cannot do this in spite of the fact that mechanistic causality has, to a certain extent, been placed in doubt by modern science.

My religiosity consists in a humble admiration of the infinitely superior spirit that reveals itself in the little that we, with our weak and transitory understanding, can comprehend of reality. Morality is of the highest importance-but for us, not for God.

99% sure, yeah. If you hate it when people presume to know what one thinks after they die, then you must hate yourself because that is exactly what you have done too.

Those Einstein quotes do not add support to your argument whatsoever. In fact, quite the opposite is true. He cannot conceive of a personal God. That's all you need to read. Further, his ''religiosity' consists of a humble admiration of the infinitely superior spirit' - he does not mean that literally and if you think otherwise then wake up. Simply put, the universe is a magnificently complex place and we humans understand very little of it's intricacies. You cannot claim everyone to be religious because of what they believe, even if it doesn't include a 'personal God'. I, for one, am a scientist - I love science and it's ability to explain things that only God could explain in the past. That does not make science my 'personal God' and by no means makes me 'religious'.

I think he meant that Intelligent Design didn't exist back then. There was never such a thing as ID until some overzealous Christians decided to (hardly) disguise creationism as "science" in an attempt to get it taught in public school science classes alongside evolution theory.

Prophecies anyone? Could the Temple of Solomon really be a fulfilled prophecy that Jesus said almost 2000 years ago. In 1947 or 48 did Israel become a state once again as the Bible predicted? Has technology significantly change since the time of the Bible? Academically speaking, are we in the worse century? STDs increasing from the 1970s. The Four Horsemen.
