You have to save the recovery image to the root of your sd card, meaning not in DCIM or Media just have it on its own.. that should work

Its all the same browser you have on on the stock os the only difference is really that the developer made certain hacks to the browser, E.G.(at one time before the touch screen keyboard was out and auto rorate for the G1 Steel browser was the only browser that had a touch screen keyboard and auto rotated.)
Opera is the fastest I believe, Im not sure why people like Dolphin but they peffer it over the stock browser

i formated the card so there is nothing on it but the two files

when i try and press backup recovery it says "backup FAILED: could not run command"

Try uninstalling the recovery flasher and reinstalling, it did that shit to me and I had to flash the cyanogen recovery it had on there when you open it up, either one works the Amon Ra just has more features and you can flash the Amon Ra version after you get the rooting done successfully

I have the MyTouch with 1.6 firmware and I keep getting the “Could not run command” message when i try to back up recovery mage does this mean I can not upload roms at all? PLEASE HELP.

It means you can’t do it in 1.6 – I believe there are ways to downgrade the MyTouch 3G to a version that you can use FlashRec on, but I don’t have one of those phones so I don’t know any details.

Fillya, you'll have to flash your phone back to 1.5 first, go to the flashing back to cupcake links on unlockr, it'll show you how to downgrade to 1.5 thru hboot then you'll be good to use the flashrec program
