Nah you aint the only one...but i dont like to say this kind of things because its like saying "HIP HOP IS DEAD" and then its the same old debate; some will say its because of this or that.

For me the ONLY REASON that can explain this kind of feelings is that it seems that Rappers are becoming MORE & MORE ignorant (damn look @ the anti-snitch campaign of cam'ron for example)

and there is a huge gap between conscious rappers and fucked up rappers

Or you play the D-Boy gansta shit: Young jeezy,Uncle murda,Papoose,Cam'ron,

Or you play the smart & clean man:Kanye west,Hova, pharell,Lupe

Or you put yourself in the intellectual-alternative sphere: like Buck 65, sage Francis, Spectre,Aesop Rock

There is more "rap's style" now and thats might be whats positive today.

BUT

Back in the 90's it seems that they just wanted to RAP better than the next man with no career plans like nowadays and thats what i liked.

yeah i co-sign with missing the 90's hip hop espically since most of use grew up wit that dope shit, i think hip hop needs to go back to basics when it was all about freestyling, b-boys, dj's, and graffiti...2pac, biggie, pete rock, cl smooth, big L...theres too many to name but you get the idea, and i agree radio shit and mainstream is straight wackd yo, and its like ive been sayin anybody now i days can make a song about anything and it will be a hit...BRING BACK REAL HIP HOP

oh and "REAL" Hip Hop is fucking gay.....I view that as a stuck up opinion saying that one person decides what's "real" and what's not. who the hell are you to be deciding on shit?

that wasn't directed at you elpresidente, just the phrase "real hip hop"
