Smith had a good game... but remember... he was going up against a prevent defense... and they were not prepared for Smith to play either

does that half of the game prove he's not a bust? of course not... if he can play good the rest of the season will he prove he's not a bust? yes

the verdict is still out, he has another shot here, wait and see what he can do before you guys start praising him as the Niner's savior

I do think he will give you guys a better chance to win than Hill, but it's highly unlikely you will beat the Colts...they're probably the best team in the NFL right now

of course it's any given Sunday, but realistically the Niners will lose, and I'm not hating... I'm just keeping it real

and if any Niners fans are gonna reply to this post dissing Jamarcus Russell, save it

I'll openly admit that Smith is better than Russell... don't need to tell me... Jamarcus being horrible doesn't make Alex Smith better

NOT HATING AT ALL. FOR THE RECORD, I THINK THE NINERS ARE HEADED IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. BUT, THE COLTS WILL BE AN UGLY LOSS FOR YALL.

NATE CLEMENTS COVERING REGGIE WAYNE IS A SCARY THING.

Nate held Andre Johnson in check for the most part, Andre left with 10 mins left in the game 2 catches for 62 yards, and on that 44 yard reception is where he hurt himself.

Its been said before, Nate does well against the big time guys, but does poorly with on the bubble players...

ALEX SMITH IS NOT A STARTING QB IN THE NFL.

HE THREW 3 TDS LAST WEEK BUT WHEN IT CAME DOWN TO WINNING THE GAME HE THREW A PICK.

IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS EVERYBODYS GONNA SEE THAT ALEX SMITH IS WHO WE THOUGHT HE WAS.

he threw a pick because they were put in a bad situation, they should have used that time out but im guessing they werent cuz they were saving it for a field goal situation, he tried to force the ball and it got picked, it happens to the best qbs out there, look @ elis last throw vs the tards

He still didn't have to throw that pick.... all he had to do was get the Niners in field goal position to tie the game up. It wasn't like the Niners needed a TD.

I love how everyone jumped on this talking already when their qb hasent done shit in 6 games compared to Smith's half a game
I'm assuming you're talking about Russell and Raiders fans? if so... what's your point?

what does Russell have to do with Alex Smith here, nobody is comparing them in this thread, people are just saying Alex Smith may not be as good as you guys think

now if someone says Russell is better than Smith... I can see your point

I don't think it's a step back for the Niners

Alex Smith sparked they offense... they might as well give him another shot... he may have really stepped his shit up for real, maybe not? they have to at least see if they have anything there

Hill obviously isn't the future
