gRIMY,
NO SHIT. IF YOU READ THE LINKS I PUT UP, IT WOULD OF TOLD YOU THAT. BUT 2/3 OF MEXICANS HAVE BLAK BLOOD IN THEM, WHETHA THEY DARK OR NOT.
THIS IS FROM UR ORIGINAL LINK TO WIKIPEDIA ,SO I DONT KNOW WHERE UR GETTING THAT 2/3 NUMBER....More than 200,000 Africans were brought to Mexico during the time of the Spanish Empire (Sailer, 2002). Although it is not common knowledge, and they make up less than ONE percent of the population, the descendants of these slaves still live in Mexico today. They have been called "The third root" by anthropologist Gonzalo Aguirre Beltrán....................AND HERES ANOTHER ARTICLE THAT STATES THAT ONLY 9% OF THE POPULATION OF MEXICO IS AFRICAN-MEXICAN........................BLACK, MEXICAN And INVISIBLE
Lula N'zinga Strickland

Historical and statistical data of the Mexican descendants of Africa living in Mexico do not estan registered in censales annals historical. The black Mexican, like homogenous group, do not appear mentioned Mexican history inside until the point that many Mexicans say that they do not exist.
Mexican se projects as Indian or racially mixed (an European mixture and autóctona). Or the Latin calls and I mark From which Spain I colonize Mexico in 1500 and I almost annihilate the native Indians, some dare to say that Mexico is a country español. the black son muy rare times associated with the history of that tierra.
Despite el 9% of the population the total population of Mexico is Afro-Mexicano. occila around the 90 million inhabitants.
Today the black live in each corner of the world and constitute the root of many civilizations, then, porqué the been born ones in Mexico are not considered, marginalized and relegated to almost invisibilidad?. In a black interview to 2 teachers of a school in Guerrero, Mexico say to us that the black have not been shaped in history with justice but they are shaped like drunkards, farcical and usually denigrated by their color.
And to make matters worse of badly they are to the base of the economic stairs like indio. Such two educators interviewed informed to me that many black reject their black descendants.
That the traidos enslaved answer is pasado?. usually is identical to the experience of the other African to the New World and subastados. But with a unique difference of flavor méxicano. Ted Vincent relates in its work "Afro-Mexico" that after the war for the independence of Spain in a 1800, general nonSpanish business the "three plan of garantías." Numero one was the guarantee of two independence and I number y three were the guarantee of protection for the church and economic position of the well-to-do like also for the black majorities, the social fairness.
When happening of the time 1er. Congress of Mexico turned the fairness clause one of prohibition, la to mention state race in documents or the historical data of the churches Like consequence with a stud the etnicidad was erased of the historical data presents/displays and futuro. Law that today stays and firme. Vicent strong says that in Mexico the census that includes different ethnic groups has been carried out from 1930.
African captured and brought to America as enslaved they arrived in Mexico in 1500 with the Spaniards to toil next to the indigenous almost-annihilated ones like constructors, slaves in the mines of silver and the vast cañeros plantations.
As the studied Vincent relates, 300.000 to 500.000 African were taken to Mexico during that time and soon but of 100.000 slaves they were mattered of the Philippines, Borneo, New Guinea, Malaysia and the China. Being in a great population not-Spanish that now a very significant part of sociedad. constitutes Some black yes know their history, others do not concern nada. to him Relatan some that their ancestors arrived at those coasts with Hernán Cortes in 1519 or with the Spanish conquerors in 1521.
The city of Veracruz in the Gulf of Mexico, was the port of entrance of the esclavista commerce during century XVI and as a result of the vile one I deal is a great population of African descendants scattered by región. In 1609 a militant of name Gaspar Yanga escaped of the claws of the slavery and wild development their town of in mountains of VeraCruz. the premises has raised a statue in their honor and has promoted a "annual festival of Yanga" for recordar their victory in the fight by the freedom of their community.
Another great concentration of Afro-Mexican now lives in the Coast of the Pacifico of Mexico in aldeas constructed does 300 años. In the "Chica" Coast, in the states such as Guerrero and Morelos enormously are inhabited by people of Africana. inheritance Throughout centuries have mixed with the races indígenas(quienes also brutally have been discriminated) and have formed many new comunidades. Therefore, the African and the Indian now is members of the same family, like Many vestiges of the black culture are it all of diaspora. is tán strong that in addition to the obvious color of the skin for some and the razgos of the mother earth, it resounds of Africa mantien in the Afro-Mexican culture of Several educators have decided to mention Black history in the classrooms and the towns of formacion negroide like Cuajinicuilapa, Guerrero. Hay plans to construct the first cultural center dedicated to the Afro-Mexican experience.
The Mexican Blacks are being placed in the world-wide scene and their histories are being promovida globally Investigators and some organizations are giving his asistencia. With the rampante poverty, but black they are emigrating to the E.U. although many have resided for a long time in California.
Its participation in the construction of Mexico has been suppressed of texts, their African ancestros are not mentioned and its unica culture has been promulgated by elité ruling like exclusively mexicano. black His heroes like president Vicente Guerrero of the century 19 (the one that abolio the slavery in 1829) not this being identified like so in history nor scholastic texts, the famous one "run" sung by the black muleteers not this identified like musica and dansa oral African tradicional. the Dansa of the Devil, its African roots never has been mencionada. Sadly the list of omissions is interminable.
But now some black-Mexicans are entering his and proudly demanding their African etnicidad like also their Mexicano.. legacy For the first time in history, those of the coast of the Pacifico were united in 1997 and 1998 to participate in the titled conference "the Convemncion of Negros." Towns Besides to discuss their inheritance with a professor of the Congo, also estatus social and problems in the modern Mexico spoke of his.
We do not have to forget that historians as the Dr Ivan Van Sertima relates that traveling African explorers arrived at Mexico as during epoca old and interacted with the native population as the Olmecs. emphasizes the famous carved heads of the rock with African factions discovered in the region of Veracruz.
Thus the Mexican hair nets are slowly being visible despite the repression by the culture dominante. Even in the middle of the governmental negation of their existence like group autonomo and even car-negation, the Afro-Mexicans are slowly demanding their position in history mundial. As other African of the diaspora those of Mexico have initiated their movement towards the recognition and respect in native his pais.

...its not that I'm lazy, champ...like i said, that ratio seems a bit high, so i skimmed all your links looking for the word two-thirds, the number 2/3, 66.7%, 20,000 out of 30,000...you get the idea...so, since you stated it like its golden...maybe you can pinpoint exactly where it is...at the same time, if it's such an accessible/believable number, why aren't a majority of those sites making the same claim?
