Well let's see.. The Niners out-gained the best offense in the league. So, "we will move the ball" - check. They put up 22 points, so, "we will score" - check. Drew Brees did nothing until the final play and most of his numbers came from short screens. I wouldn't say they "stopped" him, but they did a much better job than most teams can do against him.
That still doesn't negate the fact that the 49ers are some cocky motharuckas, that's where I was getting at with that. Bring up that shit all you want, the final score of that game is what matters. And the Saints did not have the best offense. They barely got by Minnesota the week before. Best offense of last season, yes, but not this season so far. 49ers did play some good football, though, they played way better than the way they did in Seattle, but I just ain't with the cocky attitude. I can understand being confident in your team, but not garunteeing a win. That's just me, though.
I'd say it worked out pretty well.
The score says otherwise
Mark my words: The Saints will ass-rape the Seahawks on November 21 and the 49ers will ass-rape them December 12.
Saints will probably kick the Seahawks' ass, but that game isn't this Sunday, so I'm not going to worry about it. And the 49ers game, you mean an ass-rape like 31-6?
