All tho I like the numbers Freddy Sanchez has put this year, he has 25 2b and batting .316,(those numbers would be sure to drop in AT&T) we all ready have a bunch of number two hitters in our line up in Winn, Renteria, Shierholtz. As I have no problem getting him there is no way I give the Pirates 2 major league players when the Braves only gave up 3 below average prospects for Mclouth.

We have been saying it for the beginning we need POWER

I would take any of these Players but it prolly won't happen

Victor Martinez--- But the Indians are gonna want our best pitching prospects
Alex Rios--- But he has huge contract that we can afford but for 5 years so if he doesn't work out we prolly can't trade him
Dan Uggla------he can hit bombs but its that or nothing
Jermaine Dye--- but he would take Playing time from Nate

if it aint one of those guys I say fuck it don't make a trade

Pass on Victor Martinez, I'll wait it out with Molina til the Year Ends, Posey's Coming up soon

Alex Rios, I'll pass Retarded Contract, and we're going to need to Save up money as much as we can we have 30 Million off the books after this Season, Imagine when Cain and Timmy are Arbitration eligible One's going to want like 15 Mil and the Other I would assume the same. So if the were Arb. Eligible Lincecum would get about 8-9 Million, Can about the Same Range. So when time comes up for a Long Term Contract, Lincecum should get a fat Deal...Now As for Matt Cain I think he would take an Evan Longoria type Contract, Like 5 Years 35-40 Million. Lincecum is the Best Pitcher in the Bigs, arguably...and I think he'll be more in the 5 Years 55-60 Million Range

DAN Uggla, While he does hit for Power, his Defense is below average

I was pushing for the Giants to Get Dye and Replace Winn, now there's two potential Problems...Winn is streaky but when he's on a hot streak he's hot, and Secondly Dye is on a potentially contending team, so the White Sox are going to need all they can get in Dye to make a push

This Giants Team Reminds me of the 03 Marlins, even though I'm still upset about the Playoffs LOL

We don't have much Speed, but we have the Pitching and the Bullpen, and we're a scrappy team...

Now look at this Scenario

Freddy has great Contact, I can see this every other Game

If Freddy can perform in SF as he is already doing in Pitt.

Our 1-4 Hitters are Hitters with good gap to gap power

Rowand
Freddy
Nate
Pablo

That's not bad considering our 1-4 Hitters would be .300 hitters, with anywhere from 10-30 HR Potential

Rowand 18 HR
Freddy 15 HR
Nate 20 HR
Pablo 30 HR

And their Double's Machines

what i dont want is an aging player like dye or sanchez.. we'd be giving up young for old.. AGAIN, when we have young players with the potential to develop into players as good or better.

Cain is already signed to a long term deal through his arbitration years

Man when I think about it If we added Freddy Sanchez our 1-4 Hitters are players that would have 40-50 Doubles each Season LOL man...Makes up for the average power, or lack of it

I agree I like Freddy Sanchez just not at the price of major leaguer.

I think I read Matt Cain is under contract through 2010 with a 2011 option and Timmy is under team control for quite awhile, where I would like to see us lock them both up its not immediate need to resign both these guys for a couple years.

With Molina and Winn Free Agents after the year and Renteria's fat contract up in 2010 we can prolly take on some payroll. Which is why I like Rios or Martinez, Thing is im not worried about the money Rios makes just the amount of years, if he doesn't work out we would have to wait out his contract like Zito.

But Freddy Sanchez can play multiple positions, play good D, and hit above .300. But Im on the side of the fence if you got to make a trade get somebody who can drive in runs and helps us come back when we are down a few runs. But if you can't don't that I hate to see us Trade the future for somebody who can't help us make the playoffs.

The Giants just need to Score Early, It leaves the Pitchers at Ease and the Bull Pen is pretty Dead on this Year....I'll be bold and Say the Affeldt Signing is Better than the Mets Signing K-Rod...SERIOUSLY

That Affeldt Signing was huge, I would also say to a lesser degree signing Uribe to minor league contract has worked out quite nicely as well.

I have to say scoring early is great but this could and prolly well come down to a few games against the Dodgers. Manny hits a 3 run bomb in the 5th we can't be hoping we hit 5 singles in a row like we do, we need someone to return the favor.

Just say'n, thats my opinion

SAN FRANCISCO -- The Giants placed left-hander Randy Johnson on the 15-day disabled list Monday with a strained left shoulder, and recalled infielder Kevin Frandsen from Triple-A Fresno.

Johnson injured himself Sunday during an abbreviated 3 2/3-inning stint against the Astros. The 303-game winner is 8-6 with a 4.81 ERA in 17 starts this year.

Frandsen's arrival restores San Francisco's balance between pitchers and position players, since the team was one short in the latter group. This is Frandsen's third stint of the season with the Giants. He's hitting .071 in nine games with them.

fuck Frandsen, shoulda brought up bowkermania
We needed a middle infield back-up since Downs went to Fresno....and there's no room for Bowker right now with Winn,Torres, and Lewis taking up outfield playing time, but Sabean said that they're working on bring him up shortly...so we'll see what happens...
