This is quite possibly the saddest display of plate discipline and overall lack of offensive prowess all season!:dead:

Send Rowand, Uribe, Renteria to the DL/Bench...bring up Bowker, Frandsen, Posey (he can catch 3/4 times a week) and Rohlinger. Only let Garko play against lefties, let Ishi get in a groove again. We have to do something to get it going again..

I wanna see this lineup sometime soon:

CF Velez
2B Sanchez
LF Bowker
3B Sandoval
1B Ishikawa
C Posey
RF Schierholtz
SS Frandsen/Rohlinger

No plate discipline at all. Is Bochy letting them swing at every 1st pitch?? They need to implement taking the 1st pitch for every batter or something because this is ridiculous.

do Happs numbers scare you?? why do you pick mcclutchens and ignore happ........not that it matters since pablo isnt a rookie...............

trying to argue against PABLO winning ROY. even if mccutchen's numbers were closer to PABLO, which they arent, he's on a terrible losing team compared to a teams MVP in the playoff race.
the marlins were under .500 when Hanley (2006) won the ROY..............

the pirates were under .500 when Jason Bay (2004) won the ROY..............

team sucsess has nothing to do with who wins the ROY............team sucess only plays a factor in MVP.......................

oh ya and even if you wanted to argue team success, which it doenst come into play.......i would say Happ's role, being on a WS contender/favorite is rather big

they do take the first pitch majority of the time.. how do i know? my pops is always bitchin about them not swinging at the first pitch which is usually a fastball right down the middle and usually the best pitch in the whole AB.

a veteran presence is needed................none of the guys you mentioned project as difference makers (Bowker, Frandsen, and Rohlinger). sp there should be no need to rush them.........plus even if they reach their ceiling they shouldnt be better than renteria.............maybe on par with uribe..........

posey can be..........but it may be a rush to push him up this early (i was against Dodgers bringing Kershaw up so early last year....he has gone threw many and will continue to grow through more growing pains at the MLB level)

happ and pablo are different positions, its different to compare... pablos avg is higher than happs and his era is lower too

if numbers were close then team success would lightweight matter.

but no it doesnt matter, pablo's not a rook and he woulda won unanimous.

Frandsen and Rohlinger may not be difference makers, but I'm sure they can produce a line at least equal to Renteria's(who has bone spurs in his elbow)...and with better defense. I would say that Bowker can ultimately end up similar to Ethier, if given the chance to play everyday.

posey can be..........but it may be a rush to push him up this early (i was against Dodgers bringing Kershaw up so early last year....he has gone threw many and will continue to grow through more growing pains at the MLB level)
I think pushing position players (particularly advanced ones like Posey) doesn't hurt them like it may pitchers. Letting him get a taste of the bigs now lets us know if he can be ready to take over catching duties next year. Look at Gordon Beckham, he is holding his own and is from the same draft.

true, but i dont think that he will get there. doesnt have the plate disciple that Eithier has...........but i can see posey getting there
